Great stuff! Last year I got a back injury that required surgery and was sedentary for 7 months. I got really out of shape. I'm embarrassed how out of shape I am. I've been working to get back in shape. Today's workout: Superset 1: Pullups: 10; 5; 4 TRX Inverted Rows: 10: 5; 4 SS2: Pushups: 20; 20; 15 Squats: 30; 30; 20 Swim for 15 minutes. I'm getting there slowly. Hard work is king and consistency is queen.

I used to carry 40-50 kg log 4 km uphill from the forest everyday. They paid me 250 rupees for one log. Thats about 3 dollar. Got no choice, a proper job is hard to find here in a corrupt country like ours. Every day our life is like army training.

Did a 12 minute plank the other day. Holy cow! The fact that everyone in the group completed this shows a lot about the power of the mind and group encouragement. Update: I've since done a 25 minute plank so still super impressed these guys were able to bite off a 45 minute one first try. Meditating a lot on the value of encouragement and team efforts.

One reason the dropout/fail rate is so high is that anyone can give BUDs a go. The DO/fail rate is lower for special forces (Green Beret, approx 60%) as such candidates have had to already achieved an E-3 rank, are physically fit, have the ability to get a secret clearance, and have a General Technical Score of at least 106 on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery.
