The greatest thing about “The Brady Bunch Movie” is how it constantly ridiculed the Brady Bunch TV show. I loved the lesbian subplot.

My people grew up watching the first syndication run of the Brady Bunch. We just misssed the original airings. Maybe between five and ten years of age was the time frame. Yeah 75 it was syndicated. For a young child it was an oddly comforting show and yet you also knew it was campy. The backyard grass was astroturf. I so wanted an astroturf backyard. Oh to be able to stand at the top of those grand stairs and flash a smile. Constantly wondering where Alice's room is located? That cool working den Mr. Brady drew his only design in over and over again. But geez they were so happy and when something bad happened it always got better. I've just watched a bunch of Brady Bunch Movie clips and reading the comments I noticed that a lot of people have said as a kid they loved this movie or they have seen it a lot which means the movie syndication on cable had the same type of effect. Maybe? I don't know I'm just babbling.

Years ago my mom said to my sister and I that “Melody” from Hey Dude looked like Maureen McCormick. My sister and I didn’t see it and sorta laugh it off. Then boom years later. Mom was totally 💯

It's amazing how many of the actors and actresses are very close likenesses to the original cast. And the voices and mannerisms are great as well.

I have never watched the original shows. I didn't even know about it. KZbin recommended this film to me and I'm delightfully hooked on it. I'm fascinated with them living stuck in the 70's oblivious that they are in the 90's.

So basically the Brady Bunch Movie is a parody of the show created in the 90s basically setting these characters in the modern day. Its quite a funny concept

This movie is absolutely wild! A classic from my childhood. I went to see this in the theatre in the 6th grade when it released with a group of friends and had a slumber party after. I will always remember this, and it's funny looking back on it now that the whole "lesbian" storyline at the time went over my head. I thought she just wanted to be her friend really badly because Marcia was popular. Innocence..

Lmao the fact that he asks “have you ever had a REAL job” after asking if they’ve ever clocked in anywhere before is hysterical to me. The only REAL jobs I’ve had (teaching) didn’t require me to clock in 😂 tending bar, serving, waitressing, cooking in a kitchen, and managing at a restaurant, all did, however. I wonder if he also asks his waitresses if they’ve ever had a real job before. Since they usually clock in, that would be a “real job,” no? 🙄😂
