I’ll never be a parent out of choice, but if I had to talk to a child being bullied for not fitting in for something they don’t have. I’ll just explain to them, that yeah I’ll buy them the stanley cup if it make them feel better, but they’ll have to understand that trends change quickly and next thing they know it, it’s another thing they don’t have. So, it’s not worth constantly changing yourself to fit in, because these people want to feel better over things that don’t actually matter. And the easiest way for them to do that is, constantly change the goalpost to “have a reason” to pick on people. I’ve been the weird ND kid in my classes, and always picked on for my quiet or sporadic behaviors. Nothing will appeal to anyone, and I never made it my problem to change myself for them because I knew there wasn’t anything I’m doing wrong. I grew up with an emotionally abusive dad, so anything would set him off, so I grew used to not taking his shit seriously and he did it out of blowing off steam. I grew a habit to not care much about public trends and conformity

im millenial generation and i dont see myself getting kids cause lot of reason you lose your freedom for yourself, having kids will cost more money to spend financially, and its a risk health maybe. and i am sick and tired of grandparents or our own parents saying "I want grandchildren and when are you getting one". if the goverment really mad about having the mortality decline then why dont they help us by funding some money. plus its their choice and their body so people pressure should stfu

I’m a (closeted) trans teen, 13 yo Catholic student. Before I get anyone saying “you don’t know that yet!” Trust me, nothing on this planet feels better than to be seen as a man, have short hair, and have others call me he/him or sir. It’s a preference of mine I can’t grow out of and that I like, especially at a Catholic school like mine that separates us between comfortable pants and thigh highs with skirts that we constantly grow out of. Anyway, I had this time where I was in class, just doing some work, when this girl knocks over her Stanley cup. Her fully loaded, chapstick holding, mini backpack with an abnormal amount of skincare, maga consumerist version. She had 3 little GLASS bottles of drunk elephant that’s she stored in glass for the “minimalist asthetic”, 5 lip masks, 2 expensive ass lipsticks and **12** GLASS lotions that all fell out and shattered on the floor. Mum was called and she said “Well, I guess we’ll just have to go buy more for mommy’s little girl!” In the cheeriest tone like that didn’t cost anything. We. Are. Doomed. Edit/update: She came back the day after writing this and proceeded to apply FIVE face masks IN CLASS. She complained that “it’s hurting my skin a little, but that’s how you know it works!”……… I think it’s actually burning her skin. Nobody’s doing anything about it.

as someone with a sephora kid little sister, I would like to say she's not 4, she's nine. She's at an age where it's normal if she's interested in skincare, makeup, etc. NOT. FOUR. Even if you have a four year old interested in these things (which they are prob NOT) you as an adult should set boundaries is this good, is this not, should I get this, or wait un til he/she is older? Then once you set those boundaries and find products suitable for the kid/kids age, then buy stuff. Oh, and don’t shove a camera in the child's face.

I remember when I was at a Cher concert in 2019, I didn't have a good view becuz I was almost 12, and I was still growing at the time, and I was about almost 5 ft tall. However, when I saw Heart at their concert, I had better seats, and I was able to see much better. Now when I get older, I wanna make sure I have to either wear heels at the floor seats, or sit close to the stage or buy seat tickets because i am only 5 ft 2 and a half.

Dating myself here, but I went to one or two wedding receptions where they had disposable cameras laid out on the tables so the guests could take pictures of each other for the couple to have. I thought that was a neat idea! Granted, the wedding that I remember doing this was fairly casual and simple because it was a middle-aged couple and they had both been married before, so they just invited the entire (small) church. My husband and I got married during COVID so we had a super tiny wedding, which saved a lot of this stress! Looking back, it was nice not to have the stress of planning a big wedding, though we've talked about maybe having a vow renewal someday so we can actually invite people. So the idea of wedding rules feels crazy to me.

re: resellers and how they keep clothes in circulation, I would never just buy something so I can sell it for more expensive without doing anything to it, but I've been considering going around asking for clothes with holes and stains that I can mend and then resell. so I can sell my labor instead of my access to thrift stores, and keep clothes in circulation that many people would refuse to buy or ever wear again. bonus, mending is much quicker than handmaking entire garments and people's old clothes with holes aren't worth much, so I think it'd be easier to find a balance between affordability and paying myself a fair wage putting this here because I'm only one person and I can't make a difference on my own, but I think it'd be pretty cool if other people also did this and talked about it

I am a great fan of splitting chores depending on our work schedules/hours. If I am the whole day at the office, my husband will wipe the floor or put the laundry for drying. If I have off, I do meal planning/cooking or laundry. Sad to see that there are so many men who think that, because of their gender, they can just push all the housework on their wife because thats "their duty". Thank you for covering this. I love your videos and humor ❤

I have a really difficult situation that I could use advice on, my boyfriends stepmum has a husband who doesn't do barely ANY household chores, he hasn't cooked once in 10 years of marriage, he doesn't even have a job for the past year for personal reasons so that isnt even an excuse. His excuse is just that he can't because of his adhd or autism or he makes excuses and drags things out until she gets fed up and does it herself. They recently moved house and he only packed 10 boxes at most she did everything else, given in mind he is a hoarder and keeps pretty much everything. I'm just their child's girlfriend (even though I'm close with them, and they love me) so i don't really know how to stand up about this issue more. My boyfriend and his stepmum knows that it's not very good, but his father is an overall friendly, nice guy in general, but acts controlling and gets angry when things aren't exactly his way. I have no clue how to help his stepmum, she is a really lovely person and she deserves better, but it feels wrong for me to speak on it.

Not only does weaponized incompetent harm those who genuinely don't know how to do a task but also those of us who are disabled & get irritated watching people (usually men) acting like children to make their spouses baby them. If my disabled butt can get up & do tasks that I shouldn't, I absolutely don't want a spouse who wants to act like a child to get out of tasks because than I will treat them like they're a child

I saw Simple Plan and Avril Lavigne at PNC Arts Center in Holmdel and was sat in one of the seats in front of the stairs, perfect view as i'm partially disabled and can't stand through shows anymore. Had to complain to security and then still at one point poked someone to move again because they weren't in freaking seats just standing on the steps in front of me.

LMFAO at the INK concert I went to, there was this family with their kid, who was around maybe 10, that kept having him crowd surf and then the mom would keep pushing through the crowd in order to find him. Over and over again. No etiquette whatsoever. But at least they got attention from the band... lmfao.

See I went to see Tenacious D and the row of friends in front of us decided to stand up - no one else is our section was. They were blocking loads of peoples view because of the angle. We all asked them to sit 3 times because we couldn’t see. One of them, clearly drunk turned to me and said why don’t you stand up too then saw my walking stick and turned around not saying anything else. A girl in their group took it upon herself to get snarky with me so I said if you’re wanting to stand then buy standing tickets if you can’t then sit down and don’t block two rows of people Read the room and don’t get arsey with people when they ask you nicely to not block them

Also the nicest gigs to go to are metal gigs. Want to go infront of us? Sure go for it. Wanna crowd surf? We’ll lift you. Fall over? You’re getting picked up before you’ve hit the floor. But a pop concert? Felt more scared of being assaulted for just existing
