Just hit that sub. I live along Lake Erie, not far from the #1 American snowfall champion for several years in a row. Buffalo, 4 feet in 24 hours many times haha. I tipped the bike while acting like a c0cky pr1ck and no handsing off the road into a sheet of ice. I actually have two cars, one motorcycle. And im seriously thinking about never buying a car again. Its SO FCKIN EXPENSIVE, and i simply love riding. Im going to spend this winter testing gear and items which make winter riding simple.

Hey man, I just picked up the same delkevics for my bike thanks to you! Would you be able to ride for more than an hour with baffles out, without getting a headache from the noise? If so, is the headache worth the noise? Thanks, love the videos! 5:12

Cheeze-whiz Christians! The test rider in that MotorWeek clip is the one, the only, Grand National Champion - Gary Nixon. Gary was Maryland-based at the time, and had a small motorcycle shop in Cockeysville. I know because I was a young rider who bought a set of shocks from him, and ended up with him helping me put them on out in a parking spot beside York Road -- kind of like buying one's baseballs from Babe Ruth. MotorWeek had not yet hired their Motorcycle Editor - Brian Robinson - and so needed to find a hired gun. Hard to imagine a better choice. Thanks for the tiny thrill.

I know this an old video, but i JUST got a 09 fz1 and it was turned from Ivan’s performance and has built / upgraded suspension. Got it for 6k with 29k miles. And i LOVE it! So fast, bigger and faster than majority of the bikes i meet and ride with. I’m 5’11, 195, and this thing MOVES

I recently replaced con rod bearings in a different Yamaha from the same era and tje manual said that the bolts should be tightened in one go, until thr wrench clicks, if one happens to stop in the middle of tihjtenning, the nut should be loosened and tightened again.

i own this bike (mod '06) the last 15 years, totally in love when it was first introduced and i still love it. Only three minor issues so far, many many long trips, a few trackdays per year and rarely commuting. I just love it, you ride it and it is like a visit to the psycologist.

Hello, I’m working on my build on the k100rs base from 1992. I’m thinking of changing the fork as I don’t like the way the old one looks. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions on where to find them on which fork should I use if I want to maybe improve the handling of the bike or at least keep it as it is?

Love the content but I was warned about true fuel by several moped guys around here(something about the additives) ... I still use the containers for back up fuel they said use regular gas or non ethanol with 2stroke mix

Thanks for giving me the idea of what to place my engine on! I don't want to get an engine stand and I was thinking of placing the motor on wooden blocks or something while I get the frame refurbished (slow rebuild), but a dolly seems more adequate

I'm late to the party, but never too late thought. A week ago I picked up my 1986 K100RS in pretty much good condition (apart from few oil leaks, just BMW things). Plan is to build it to be pleasant to look at. I might have lucked out with the budget since the fairings were painted 2 years ago and look brand new. Selling all useless parts. After watching this video I am still going to keep my original plan. I gave myself time upcoming winter to build the bike, but not going to mess with any electronics now. I will brief myself with your video series on the build, thank you.

Bro, I cant believe that you did tomos 😅 I was born in Serbia (ex Yu) and grew up on those. That is later model Automatik we call it, with that tank on it. Bike was junk if you ask me😁 But just because of that its perfect for overhauling. Respect bro. I don't know if we exported Tomos apn 4 . Check it, it has gears and far more robust. Anyway I wish all the best in future projects. Rock on 🤘

I had a XJ 650 T for a couple of years. Great bike, one of the best I’ve owned. Fantastic comfort and pretty fast for the day. Slightly more powerfull than the XS 1100 and way more powerfull than the Honda CB 900, when measured at the wheel. One of the bikes you regret selling.
