Question: over 5 weeks ago I had a zirconia implant removed. I was failing and it needed to come. I had a skilled surgeon remove it by carefully working the bone to free it up and twist out. It was in the lower left side 2nd molar area. I’m still having pain and throbbing in the area. It comes and goes. My surgeon tells me it’s the healing process with the bone filling in. I’ve had the opposing root canaled upper molar removed and never went through this kind of pain. The gums look great it’s what’s going on inside. What could the issue be that I’m having? He said he got all the implant. It was given back to me. A few thread are fragmented but that would have been sucked out. I had a panoramic x ray and it showed nothing. He’s going to do a CBCT Scan in about 3 weeks to check the bone. Some days are good and some days are very uncomfortable. Nothing seems to be swollen or infected either. I was told that the implant removal is different than a tooth. If the jaw bone was fractured in anyway, I’m sure the pain would be alot worse? Can you pls give your expert advice on this? I took my stitches out on the second day on my own because who puts stitches in gums? It was making my tongue blistered, so the stitches had to go. I ended up accidentally spitting out a blood clot, but I'm not sure if it was actually a blood clot, cuz it was the same color that the soft tortilla I had ate earlier was, so there's no telling if that's what that was. Either way, I've been taking photos with my phone zoomed in on the extraction zone and it looks fine. I have taken antibiotics and antihistamines and ibuprofen, and it's manageable, but boy was I angry at the dentist, and it's been a struggle for the first few days. Accidentally spitting has been a little difficult to remember not to do, but it's getting better. The dentist exposed my sinus and it's been weird cuz sometimes air would push through the open wound or Listerine would get pushed up my nose when I would lean my head to the side to help clean the wound instead of swishing it around in my mouth. It's been quite the learning process and the pain at first was not easy at all, and it's made me want to look for a new dentist, because this dentist hasn't exactly impressed me, he's kind of a noob. But, I'm just glad it's over with hopefully. And that I'm healing now. Phew!

I got a molar extracted yesterday it was brutal I felt ii screamed his whole office heard t ! I made him give me a ton of anesthesia then he pulled it no problem they give you a sheet with post op instructions

Had oral surgery 6 hrs ago. 3 extractions, 1 implant. Pain was pretty intense directly after anesthetic wore off. Good info Doctor!!❤

I had bottom teeth extracted 4 dsys a go and my denture put staright on .the extractions where terriable shardes and pieces all the way down so a bit trsmatic and i was awake ....iam in the uk and we are told 2 paracetamol 200 each tablet and 2 ibuprofen tablets 200 each tablet every 4 hours ...thd trouble is my face is all briused and my mouth is pulsing in pain still ...iam in the uk

I was prescribed paracetamol only. Is day 6 after only 1 upper implant with bone grafting and is my 6th night of no sleeping. The pain is back every 2 hours. No swelling, no blood, but pain is excruciating. My stomach is a mess since I take 1000mg paracetamol every 4 hours. I don’t drink coffee, no smoking, great hygiene. What shall I do? I called the dental practice and I was told that it is normal and the pain will last between 10 days-14 days.

I drilled some doctors to the other side with many many questions and mixed all KZbin videos like all mix fruit juice and dranked, daily then only i would have got sleep. Now i feel myself a dental doctor now i did 3 or 4 phds of my research now even when i ask doctors they don't have a good answer all i understood never ever be careless or ignore as you're directly a God made product which is not replaceable. In deep atleast a single tooth of yours is priceless. So becareful. Now i want to service to people if i physically got trained need to apprenticeship and if become i first say the value worthy nesscity or important or not required.

*PLEASE* *HELP* I have a few questions how long does it take because I know they have to extract the bad teeth and wait for gums to heal so from the first visit that you got the work done until the last visit that you had the work done how long was it? I need like 10 molars replaced top and bottom I crushed my nose and broke quite a few teeth in a bad car accident and that was 15 years ago I’m 40 today and I’m worried it’s gave me some sort of heart disease although I’m relatively healthy and look fine but looks can be deceiving we all know that I think it could just be my anxiety tbh. Today they gave me 3 options today at the Dental office 1.) is go the implant route it’ll probably take a year to get everything finished and it cost $28k 2.) Do implants on the top and partials on the bottom 17k or 3.) just get the bad teeth extracted and do partials because it’s a lot more in my budget and for that it’s only $5,500 and they could extract the teeth in 3 weeks and have the partials in by Thanksgiving this year (2024) and said I can always upgrade to implants later when my money gets back up again. I don’t have any dental insurance so this would be all out of pocket and they’re recommending Proceed Financial. I just don’t know which to choose I have good credit so I could probably get approved for the implants but that’s another big bill every month I’m 40 recently single and depresssd and I’ve always been the life of the party bachelor living Las Vegas dating beautiful woman but right now I’m depressed and down in the dumps. I wish I knew the right answer here,smh?? **If I did get the partials I definitely would like the ones that don’t show the wire is that always an option?

This is a great video. Dental office said just take any pain medication, so I ask is Aleve ok, they said any pain medication that helps you, so I gulped two Aleve, so far pain went away, now it will be one aleve every 12 hours. The pain left in less than an hour, since I took it just when the numbing was disappearing.

Salt water is good for rinsing out your mouth especially after extraction that keep bleeding. Salt water kills of any germs. It cheap which is what we all are needing of late. I had my extractions done five weeks ago and I am healing extremely well. Mind my dental surgeon also prescribed a course of antibiotics. Having knee prosthetics it's important that I don't get any infection in my blood. Eat soft foods and rest.

What if you already have healed from extraction

Ive just had full implants. Ive regretted it every day since. I wish i had kept my teeth. Maybe had a few out. But some were just discoloured.
