I’m currently training to fly helicopters so I’ll try to explain what I think happened in each of these crashes. I am very early days in training so I may be wrong. If anyone more experienced knows better please correct me: 00:00 - It seems he caught one of the main rotor blades on something causing damage which in turn created a weight imbalance between opposing blades. This resulted in the shaking which snapped the tail off the back of the helicopter causing the cockpit/body to turn before it fell. 00:12 - Silly sausage…. Nuff said. 00:22 - I don’t even know. 00:27 - I suspect they realised they were going way too fast way too late in their runway approach then panicked and pulled power past the maximum manifold pressure which caused a loss of rotor RPM and a subsequent faster descent than what they already had. This may also have been a failed auto rotation where they didn’t flare at the end to loose speed before running onto their skids. Whatever the reason they hit the ground too hard snapping the tail and rotor off which caused the cockpit / body to spin. 00:40 - This looks like a landing approach which far too high a rate of descent and not enough forward air speed causing the helicopter to fall into it’s own rotor downwash. I think this is called vortex ring. The main rotor can’t generate lift in its own turbulence so you quickly drop unless you can move horizontally out of your own downwash. 00:48 - This was actually handled incredibly well by the pilot but he will need a change of underwear along with the guy on the left. The boat rose up over a wave launching the helicopter off the landing pad. With the helicopter about to crash into the boat below the camera man the pilot has pulled back to halt forward movement. This has resulted in a tail strike damaging the tail rotor and causing the helicopter to spin. 01:04 - I’m not sure about this one but I think they caught the rear right landing wheel on the ground causing it to pivot all fkn weird. Probably wrong about this one it’s more of a guess. 01:12 - Fell short of the landing pad and bounced while catching the back left wheel on the side netting. Pulling power to avoid a crash has caused a moment (rotational force) around the wheel resulting in the helicopter rolling to the left. 01:29 - Not certain about this one but I suspect it’s either caused by resonance with the rotor RPM and the frame of the helicopter, weight imbalance between opposing main rotor blades or some kind of nasty feedback wobble (Kind of like death wobble on a motor bike). Whatever the cause it shook itself to pieces. 01:41 - This seems like the pilot has pulled power to stop his descent but has passed the maximum manifold pressure causing low rotor RPM and loss of lift. The low RPM has caused the blades to bend upwards further reducing lift and increasing rate of descent. Once in the water they’ve tried to take off again but with their nose buried in the water their forward speed has pitched the helicopter forward dipping the main rotor into the water. 02:08 - I’m not really sure about this one. They had forward momentum so I’m not sure if this was vortex ring as explained above but it would seem the pilot has just completely misjudged their rate of descent.

One time I was in a different state, Kentucky, I was in my house when I was like 7 or 8 years old with my family, cousins, and grandparents. I was playing some Fortnite with my cousin and all of a sudden, I saw a big flash and not a single second later, I heard a loud boom. And then after that happened, it disconnected me and my cousin from Fortnite and my family was scared. We’ve never heard a lightning close to us again
