It happens when you grow out, especially the nape hair area. You have to regularly brush it inward direction fro some weeks and it will work bruh

Believe me, I had the very same experience this summer, I didn't like it, I went to a different barber to reduce the volume on the top hair because my hair looked weird with the sides chopped off, however it got way more messier, I was growing my hair out and because of the bad haircuts I started over 😢
