Not all clay litter contains silica, or is high dust..I just looked up the litter I use which is 99.9 dust free..can't really get much better than that. Scent free and contains no silica...yes it tracks but that's not a concern. so other than the environment thing I feel comfortable using my clay clumping litter.. id love to switch to a different type for environmental reasons but it's not financially feasible with as many cats as I have and I don't like pine pellets which would be the only other option

If my cat wasn't such a dick who will look at me in the eyes then fling litter by the masses out of the box I wouldn't need a enclosed the last straw was when I went to sleep and found my cat had kicked out every piece of litter cuz he thinks it's a game and plays in the litter as well he was costing me few hundred dollars a month cuz I even tried one of those high side litter boxes and he still did it thank God for enclosed boxes

wood pellets work great for my heavy pee-r cat. no tracking and no stuck in paws. this stuff looks like it would get stuck in their paws if stepped on

Peeing this much is a serious sign in cats. I have 2 diabetic cats and excessive drinking was the first sign

Cat feces shouldn't be flushed down the toilet because they contain toxoplasmosis and water treatment plants can't kill it or treat the water for it and it remains in the water after being released from water treatment plants. Not to mention over time, that litter can clog your sewage line.
