Thanksgiving. So thankful for George's music. Every time I hear it, it puts a tear in my eye as it stirs my soul like no other song. So sorrowful to hear of his death from cancer in 2023.

I found out yesterday that he died. Now I’m watching all the videos and weeping. I’m so sad I’ll never get to see him play live. This is a reminder folks: do the things you want to do NOW. Don’t wait or it will be too late and you will regret it.

I find it interesting how music written on paper is organized differenty when played. An example with George's "Thansgiving" might be transition themes (?) tinking toward the end of a measure when they also could have been played at the beginning of a measure. His renditions are so surprising and full of unexpected space and sound. Dancing cat, I am. Such has been proven.
