Hello! Maybe you could help me find a spot via Google Earth in a forest complex where truffles have been confirmed to occur. I recently trained my dog. This is my first truffle hunting trip. I will definitely repay you if I manage to find something and I invite you to search in our beautiful Polish forests. Apparently there is a lot of potential here ;)

Hi there. Good podcast where in the UK are you hunting truffles. I’m in the SE I don’t think there is much here. My dog loves scenting. Did a truffle run a while back but it was a plant. Love to try and hunt for the real ones
@TruffleForager3 ай бұрын
Hi Marco, thanks for commenting. You can certainly find truffles in SE England if you hit the right spots. And other truffles are everywhere. Most people just aren't looking. If you're thinking of getting your dog into some Truffle dog training specific stuff... you might be interested in this next event I'm putting on 3rd August. It's called the Summer Truffle Discovery Day (for dog owners and truffle lovers) It'll be in West Sussex. Want me to send you more info? ping me an email [email protected] ✌️

@skeetskeet41239 ай бұрын
@@TruffleForager Aye, I wonder if you're able to teach a strict "NO!" in other aspects of their life and training previously, you're able to put that towards them consuming any truffle as they realize it will come with a negative reaction from us- the owner. However theyre such bloody ADHD creatures... im sure its still a big challenge to avoid them catching some dopamine when the opportunity arises for them 😆 Cheers for the response mate. And no I don't! Once I get some land and my homestead up and going, I do have slight intentions on investing my time into a truffle dog from young, but I'd want to be nearish an established forest for that to viable. Also a long, long way away! (2030s at the earliest 😅). Love to see your journey with Buddy though brotha, appreciate the unique and niche content

Dear sir, Hope you are doing well. I was analyzing your KZbin channel. I am really impressed by your videos but your KZbin channel has some issues. You have made many videos but your KZbin channel is not getting views and subscribers as expected. Because you have no complete SEO for any videos, no channel tags, no video tags, If you SEO your videos, your subscribers, views will increase and your channel will grow. I can help you if you want.

Great discussion! I had client recently reach out to me regarding a truffle hunting training protocol. I don’t live in an area for practical “real-world” experience, but I certainly have a passion for scent work and pointed her to some of the work being done by Jim Sanford, the owner of Blackberry Farm, where is raising truffle-hunting dogs using the same technique as any scent work trainer building value to odor, including search and rescue. I look forward to interacting with more of your content. Cheers 😊

Thought these were poisonous!! Maybe they contain hydrazine like morels and agarics... But once cooked theyre fine ?
@bensweet5452 Жыл бұрын
Yes it is toxic. Different species within the genue have variying degrees of toxiscity as I understand it. However, if it is prepared in specific ways it can become edible... I am experimenting with this now for the first time. Boiling the mushroom several times to get rid of the toxins... The taste is yet to be determined haha... Probably not worth the effort. But in some countries it's considered a delicacy. NOT ONE TO TRY AT HOME KIDS ha.
