I just started using vests about a year ago now and I 100% agree they are great for layering after the sun is out I usually just rock the vest un zipped over the long sleeve and it's perfect if I'm actually workin on moving and easy to through more layers over if needed

I will never buy the muck boot brand again. They went from my favorite boot on my first pair and after buying the second pair they leaked the 1st time I put them on. The sales rep took 3 months to credit my money back. I talked to the lady that sold them to me and she had 2 other pairs that leaked. Three months is way too long so I am out on the Muck boots. Sorry

I miss the days of buying a carhart and 15 years later its still stiff. That is quality! This jacket however is better than any I’ve own since the early 90’s. This one fits like a USGI M65! Worth every dime spent!

Also if you're working in mild temperatures where once you start working you'll break a good sweat but as you stop moving you catch a chill wear wool because even when wool is soaking wet it still retains about 80% of its insulative value or better if its good quality wool
