@PetesGuitarUniverse6 күн бұрын
@@richmanfilms yea, just set up the patches you want delay or reverb or chorus on etc. and it'll work in the FX loop. But running it in true parallel would not be possible as there is no way to keep the original signal out of the path. If you figure out a way round it, let us all know
@richmanfilms6 күн бұрын
@@PetesGuitarUniverse yeah, that’s the problem I’m having. It seems every cheapo fx unit does not allow 100% wet without any directs signal. i can switch to serial fx loop mode, but now I would wonder if it colors the signal too much because I bought s nice amp. I’ve got an old VHT Pittbull 45 head and I don’t want to pull out my Fractal FM3 for use in the effects loop. 😀

@@richmanfilms in serial it will work fine. If you put it in tuner mode it is in bypass so you can A/B if it's sucking tone or not. All pedals such tone no matter what the marketing hype says. But I've not noticed a considerable tone drain with this. Just make a patch with no FX other than time based, you should be good to go.

@@Soumilbharatendu this is a great pedal but does not double as a USB interface. You can plug it into a separate interface though. And it sounds killer. Any modern USB interface will be good. @PetesGuitarUniverse12 күн бұрын
@@andrugeorge are you intending to leave it bare with no pickguard? If not, just work slowly from the middle and you'll be able to tell if the 99% IPA is doing any damage. Chances are you'll be fine. Hi Pete and thank you for the vid. I recently got the same guitar in black but it's a pain keeping its body clean from dust, fingerprints and other residue. I already use a cotton cloth to clean it but it's not enough, so I wanted to ask you what you use to clean it. Also I'm not a big fan of the original strings, they sound a bit dull when strumming without a pick, compared to other guitars. Picking sounds good, but I'm thinking of changing them.
@PetesGuitarUniverse18 күн бұрын
@@andrugeorge I think because mine has woodgrain, it's not so noticeable when there's paw prints. But yes, keeping a cloth is the only way really. Or wet and dry sand it all down to a matte finish. I hate to be mean but what were you thinking placing the E609 this high? What is it even pointed at? I'm sorry but the SM57 looks and sounds to be the only one placed correctly, which makes the whole comparison useless
@PetesGuitarUniverseАй бұрын
@@oskarwroniewicz I agree the placement wasn't ideal. On the day, with limited time, the clip wasn't allowing an angled down perspective. Although it was capturing a strong signal. All the others were placed correctly and giving nice strong clear signals. There can never be and exact scientific approach without placing in exactly the same place one at a time. But then every stick velocity is different, so there's that. A comparison can still be made. And also drawn from my objective in the room experience
@oskarwroniewiczАй бұрын
@@PetesGuitarUniverse Of course it was capturing a strong signal, you were hitting a loud drum near it. That doesn't change the fact that the frequency response changes quite a lot when you get away even an inch from the head because of the proximity effect, which is a huge part of the sound of spot mics in drum recording. It's the whole reason why they sound how they sound - big, fat and punchy. I understand you had only the mic clip-on holders to work with, which made proper placement impossible, but in that case there was no point to even record the comparison in the first place. You could just as well compare taste of two different meals when one is fresh from the oven and the other one is cold from the day before
@oskarwroniewiczАй бұрын
I don't want to be mean or play smart for the sake of it, I truly hope the information helps you in some way and I would love to see you make a new comparison! When it comes to the stick hits being different you can just play once and then show that exact part recorded by one mic, then the second one and so on. And when it comes to "scientific" placement you really can get it pretty much perfect for all microphones if you use regular stands

@Pete's Guitar Universe Great video, tasty playing -- love your tone and style. Was this direct line-out? It is a great-sounding pedal. I'm purchasing one. I'm going to be using this line-out but also into an acoustic amp (Fender Acoustasonic). As far as the reasoning for the re-branding, I am taking an educated guess, but I'm pretty sure I'm correct. Assuming this is made in China, you'll notice that are many 'rebrandings' that come out of China -- same product, but under a different brand name. I believe that the reason for this is that all factories are technically government-owned and the stuff that ships to the US comes from a factory near the Pacific (eastern) side, whereas products going to Europe I would expect to be produced in western-China factories. My guess is that different factories produce identical items, but are rebranded as possibly a quality control measure. Thanks for your great channel. Liked and subscribed. Cheers.

Only for musicians to listen to. I do not want to use the mixer's internal metronome. I would appreciate if you could help me clarify this concern.

You need to make a submix, with the metronome fed to the channels you want to hear it on, then save that as a mix on A to F. The master stereo channels won't send the metronome to your main outputs that way.
