Excellently played! I'd love to learn this tune. Would you be able to break this down into one of your tutorial styled videos? Cheers 🙂👍

For a great version of this (one that gets you through the awkward ends of the phrases that you're seeking), listen to "The Chieftains in China" LP (it's up on KZbin) and their "Tribute to O'Carolan" which consists of 5 or 6 tunes. At exactly 06:40 of that track comes "Sí Bheag Sí Mhór," and it's the loveliest version I've ever heard. Uilleann pipes, harp, recorder (?) and fiddle all joining in - I think you'll find options for those awkward bits right there!

Ok, so hear me out lol I used to follow your page nearly 20 years ago and I found you again. I'm from Ireland and at the time had moved to California, had not much to do and wanted to improve my tin whistle. You haven't aged hardly any. I just went home to my mother's funeral and one of the nuns that used to teach me as a child looked EXACTLY the same!! 😂 What's in the holy water?!

If it's trad music the "F" is ALWAYS sharp because the whistle only has an F#

I think I'm going to start re-shooting and re-posting videos. I'm teaching a course this Fall at Marquette University to introduce students to the tin whistle.
