pdsa manchester has some terrible poeple working there the vets and nurses are great the management sucks try employing poeple who have communications skills instead of being aggressive and not listening

I threw the pill for my cats to 'hunt'. The ate it themselves. Same procedure with our dog. Sometimes it is good to give the animal a chance for freewillingness Hanni Denmark

Lol, people would not be looking up these instructions if they had a dog who just quietly complied like this. I was looking for help because this dog is thrashing and screaming and trying to kill me. Please show how to give eye drops to a dog that is wild with rage.

Hi there! Plain water itself should not cause diarrhoea, but drinking more can be a symptom of other problems such as diabetes or kidney disease so we’d recommend seeing your vet if you think your pet is drinking more 🐾

Whenever I attempted to cut my dogs nails, he would freak out then just watch me carefully for the next hour or so to make sure I wasn't staring his nails. Every time he caught me, he would bark and hide his paws lol. The only time I was successful was when he was entering an advanced stage of cancer and was too weak to fight back. Sigh... I miss him so much.

God, I absolutely love how they went all out to give her a well deserved hero send off. That was amazing to see. Just goes to show how much these animals are valued for their service. I'm so glad our government recognizes and honors their achievements, just like they do for anyone else who has served our country or works in a duty-bound role.

Just totally amazing heartwarming story of a truly brave and loyal dog!! Nearly had me in tears watching this video!! As humans we could learn so much from kuno. Bravery, loyalty, selflessness and all for a hug and the occasional tennis ball and nothing more! I salute Kuno and hope he is enjoying his retirement.

Applied mine a bit lower on her neck, was sleeping for hours till I readied the tube and got a glove and she tried to cause a standoff till I put her in a towel. My partner even had to come over to help stop her squirming her upper half. But if I go higher she tends to try to rub her paws behind her head. But thanks for the helpful video. :)

Okay, I have a question. I part my dogs hair, but he's very very furry. His skin is white.... Some of the pippete gets on the fur, and I' can't be sure how much is getting on his skin. Should I be shaving a small patch to ensure I get to his skin, or should I not worry?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out 🐱 To be fully effective, the treatment does need to be applied directly to the skin so it can be absorbed and start working. As you’ve found though, this can be a bit trickier in dogs with thicker fur. Rather than shaving the fur, try applying smaller amounts of the treatment in a few different spots until the whole pipette has been used, parting the fur and making sure to stay on the neck or between shoulder blades where your pet can’t reach to lick the treatment off 🐾

What happens after treatment? Just let them continue like normal? Do they poop after? Or the worms just fall out?

Yes, continue as normal after applying the spot-on treatment. However, avoid bathing your pet, or allowing them to swim for at least 24hours after applying. Also avoid other pets meeting your pet immediately following treatment, to avoid them licking the treatment area. Some dog treatments, can be toxic for cats. It’s likely that you won’t see anything after treating your dog for worms - unless they had a particularly heavy infestation, in which case you may see dead worms in their poo 🐾

This advert is false as we have had experience with this we have continually phoned the PDSA and all we have got from them is an answering machine so to say that we can call them and get connected like what this advert has shown is disingenuous

I used borax for fleas in my house. You prabably have to this mutiple times. I spread borax all over my house& left it down for a few days at a time. Lots of vacuuming& i also mopped with pinesol. I have wooden floors. This was challenging. .
