Where.did you buy the parts. Does it come with the motor, cables and tracks all in one?
@OnTheRockHomestead
@OnTheRockHomestead Ай бұрын
I bought the part from a toyota dealer online. It was almost a $100 cheaper online from the same dealer than if I walked in to purchase from them. They couldn't say why it works that way. The part number is #69850-0C062 and it comes as a complete assembly with the motor.

In my area, the code requirement is one on each rafter, either on the right or left side. Simpson recommends mounting them diagonally from the opposite wall to minimize the truss from twisting. Thanks for watching!

Building a house does take a significant amount of time, but with a good plan and a reliable team, it can be completed efficiently. On average, it takes about 7 to 12 months to build a new house, depending on factors like the size, complexity, location, and any unexpected delays. Since I’m new to this and learning as I go, doing most of the work with a contractor friend and occasionally a few other friends joining in to help, it might take a bit longer. Additionally, the windy weather has been slowing us down. However, with our dedication and hard work, it will be done before you know it!

@@OnTheRockHomestead thanks for the info, im a framer so I know how long it takes. I was simply saying, standing those vaulted trusses was going to take forever because it looks like a pain in the ass. Probably the best way is to fly them one at a time like you did, how long did it take to stand that section?
@OnTheRockHomestead
@OnTheRockHomestead 4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. The biggest pain has been the wind. Working off scaffolding and dealing with heights is unsettling as well. A good example is when I put the ridge beam up. I made a mistake and disconnected the strap before attaching it. Thankfully, nobody was hurt. This section took us about 3 hours, so it wasn't too bad.
