While I understand the purpose of this, I don't see it having much practical use. If you can't move the image without a beginning to look ugly after you apply the effect then what's the point really? At that point just drag it into some photo editing software and do the exact same thing without all the extra steps AND still have the ability to move the photo even after it was edited.

Hey, i have a question. The subject in my video comes out of frame and is blocked by another subject shortly after where i want to mask and track. This is causing the tracking to mess up I think, but all i want to do is apply a stone effect (so desaturate and add some grain effect) in that split second in the video, then remove it and have no effect again. How can i do this? Do i even need to use tracking?

I like your energy man, but you'd probably "be let go" if you were working for someone using the pen tool like that. It's one of those things I've had to teach a lot of people over the years in other software (PS, AE, AI). You only require drawing four points by dragging out the bezier handles, which is the real power of the tool. You would of had it masked before saying "I don't want you getting bored watching", and a much cleaner result with far better tracking.

Optical flow is insane, but if you also turn on "SPEED WARP," it becomes perfect-so much better. It does use a lot of GPU, though. I had a shot of a bird, and it was unbelievable what it did with the wing movements.

Great video :) you know if your key points disappear you can adjust the little % boxes on top and bottom to the left on timeline (took me an hour of frustration to figure that out)
