Sutekh was in my opinion a good idea for the finale in concept, but he runs into the same issue I had with the Toymaker in the Giggle. Once you understand the characters, you know it can't work, Sutekh wouldn't care about Ruby's mother, all he cares is that she is gone because he kills out of fear that someone may exceed his power. Also Sutekh was never a god, he was just an Osiran who wre godlike, not gods. The Toymaker, The Trickster, The Maestro, Hecuba all easily out class Sutekh in power, and it is no contest or question, they just do. Speaking of which, Sutekh would try to kill the Pantheon, not join it, just like how the Toymaker would play everyone in the Pantheon purely for his own amusement. There was always a reason Sutekh is often portrayed having his power limited, or locked a certain area in the EU (If I'm correct that is.) he's just too powerful, and his persona dictates he must kill everything he see's unless they hold use to him. Having him with a necoramcy plan outside the universe where he has been sabotaged so his powers are locked to his lab but he is still free to traverse anywhere would have automaticakky fixed the issue, perhaps even trap him inside the time window, destroy both entrances/exits and then he is eternally trapped there with no way out, seeing as he has never been shown to teleport, same with the rest of Osiran's, that's why they have the Time Window's anyway. I just hope if Omega is brought back he isn't spoiled either.

It doesn't really make sense how they seem to be masters of biochemistry biotechnology creating complex biological molecules to attack humans. They could easily artificially replicate all the chemicals found in children (e.g like how we chemically manufacture pharmaceuticals that originated in plants like morphine/poppies) . The fact they could easily produce the chemicals synthetically but still go for the children makes them even more sadistic.

I don’t think unsettling things HAVE to be couched in more palatable wrapping, even in kids’ movies, but I was also recently thinking about how impressive this was. It really could be about kidnapping and hurting kids until they’re offed, which is frankly as dark as it gets, yet it was not as disturbing as a lot of dark children’s films. Maybe it’s partly because we don’t see or hear much extreme distress; the scream machine is mostly shown on the goofy looking and acting Mike and Fungus. In Pinocchio, the kids who turn into donkeys are *not happy at all,* or ever, and we even witness one of the traumatic transformations. The monsters are more afraid of children than Vice verse, and most have no ill-will towards them. I think this also helps soften the blow, on the surface at least.

I actually wonder whether Fenrir was such a messed up character he was omitted from a lot of the books and films, I know he suits being a peripheral character in a way but if he’s going round cannibalising people and talking about how much he loves kids just imagine all the dark and twisted stuff he’s done in the past you could probably make a side horror series out of that one character alone

For me its the opposite. My interpretation of the movie is: 4 Animals who are captured in a Zoo (the Zoo is society) finally break out and get to learn who they are for the very first time. That there is more than shows, walls and murals. Alex begins to realize that he has instincts that can turn him into a monster but he managed to win that fight and rescue his friends to not let his dark side win

The first two films were good but the third one was so pointless, it added nothing to the series and was basically just an extension of the opening sequence of part 2 when the invasion starts. And they even made the death angels look pretty stupid in the third film by literally somehow outrunning them at the end even though they’re 100x faster than humans and then the girl randomly sacrificing herself when she didn’t need to yet still somehow surviving. If we pretend day one doesn’t exist though they’re a pretty cool concept 😂

@tyronechadsmith5121 5 ай бұрын
A prequel should still add to the overall series tho, you can’t say that simply because its a prequel it’s a sole entity from the other two films because its inherently a part of the series, and I’m not saying it was a pointless addition because a day 1 film wouldn’t work, but because they executed it poorly: it adds virtually nothing lore wise apart from the plants, has a bunch of inconsistencies in terms of how the death angels behave and the most important part (basically the fun part like you said), that chaos as they first invade, lasted like 10 minutes before everyone learned how to survive and it just followed the same concept as part 1 and 2. Like I said I liked the concept of a day 1 prequel film just wasn’t a fan of how they actually executed it

I do find it curious how the family identify some of the Death Angels weaknesses (like when they go to the waterfall and can talk normally) but don't utilise that when thinking about where they should live. They just stay in their house. Surely there's a house with a watermill or near a waterfall to name only a few. Instead they stay at their house making no noise. Also the second film where they're on the island but still in the early stages of the invasion so they should still be cautions, maybe checking boats coming in is too over the top. But surely the humans having fled the city know about being silent. As soon as the Death angel comes onto the island they forgot about all that and start screaming hysterically again.

No. When Kristoff sees Truman go what he sees is his money producer walking out on him, the very thing thats made him so incredibly successful gone in a second. This is why he is so quick to do things like put his life in danger or even possibly severely injure him if it means keeping the show running because he dosent see Truman as a person but a tool. Meanwhile the viewers celebrate and cheer to Trumans escape because they see it as "the Truman show" the absolute perfect masterpiece of an ending to such a long story, Kristoff did in fact succeed in making the perfect story but he never wanted to capitalize on it because that would mean ending the show and thereby stopping the milking of his cash cow. Truman did it himself, conquered his severe thalassaphobia, laughed at death, survived everything they could possibly throw at him, and after it was all over still raised his flag before finally reaching his goal before giving one last middle finger with his most iconic line. It's pure cinema. This is further reflected as one of the last scenes is the two police officer viewers stating "let's just watch something else" happily, they don't care if the show ends because the ending wrapped it up perfectly. The viewers aren't worried about if the rich asshole is going to keep receiving money they are just gonna move to the next big thing when it's over. Also Kristoff is definitely going to jail once Truman sues him.

@@GamesFromSpace I think they could be deadly and common tho in that they’re all around us but as the doctor explains they only strike in defence of losing their homes. And when it comes to the either or situation you might not know specifically that Vashta Nerada exist, but if evolutionary wise we know people can walk into the shadows and never return it makes sense we’d develop a fear of the dark whilst also not knowing exactly why. Especially given they’re microscopic so we could never see them anyway. So I can see how their existence could legislate for every species fearing of the dark and at the same time their existence being a secret because even if we literally saw someone turn into a skeleton we wouldn’t even know it was Vashta Nerada because they strip flesh so fast and we can’t see them. All we’d associate that with is shadow and hence a fear of the dark. That’s not to say there aren’t flaws in the logic but overall I think it makes sense

I legit didn’t even consider that I was thinking about the potential for how good a return could be but you’re right there’s so many ways they could mess it up, like there’s no physical form I think they could create that could make them as chilling as they are now, and if they have the doctor find another weakness beyond poisoning and light it might start to take away from how terrifying they are to begin with so there’s definitely a lot of ways to mess it up, but if they just resist that urge to innovate too too much and stick to the formula they have a return could be so good

Plus that way, they could have set it up so they have the potential to come back, since there would be no way of knowing they are all gone, since they could be any of the humans there. Would make a good emotional scene for the Doctor, since he really liked Rogue, and some of them surviving would destroy his sacrifice. Would be interesting to see how the Doctor reacts when finding out

Shape shifting Alians that kill people to steal their form, set in the past, gives the doctor a love interest and explores his character, ending with the villains being banished to an eternal fate, both episodes villains have a little styalisation that give their performance away. With how casual they were about their plan it almost made it sound like they do this on a weekly basis to so many other species. Like there’s this trail of extinction in their wake purely for entertainment. It kind of felt like the gimmicks made them more of a throwaway villain for me but I 100% get your point they intentionally made them less scary and more of a fun antagonist and I definitely see why people are fine with that
