I did the security on the back stairs at Knebworth. I live local, & still do. Worked on a couple more concerts with Artiste services & later Show Sec with an old friend Wal Gore. 1978 seems like a dream now, ... Happy days!!

Like the man says, he's pieced together little sniglets the best he could. Well done, Sir! It helps my memory to recall the show like it was only recently seen. Epic times. Thanks!

Interesting, I always thought Phil Joel joined closer to when Take Me to Your Leader released. Also I don't mean any disrespect to Peter Furler, but John James was a much more charismatic frontman. Even here, Peter just sorta stands around on the first song while John is dancing around all over the place.

I saw Genesis perform “The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway” at the Masonic Temple in Detroit in 1974. It was my first experience with Genesis and I had no idea who they were. The bassist and guitarist of our three piece band, “Surface”, insisted that I check them out. It was (and remains) an utterly amazing and stunning concert experience that ultimately changed my musical evolution. This is highest order progressive rock.

Muchas gracias por el trabajo. Ojalá algún día se pueda completar el puzzle y tener TFTO al completo. El mejor álbum de YES y unas de las joyas del rock progresivo de todos los tiempos.

To think they played this in its entirety to audiences that had never heard the album yet. Phil still can’t believe they had the nerve. Amazing!

Every now and then they go beyond cadence and hang loose. It’s usually in line with turning the bass up and letting everyone know how Yes can sound!! At 65, all I can say is, much love. What little we have of the above needs some work on, so? So, good luck.

I Seen the show twice and Loved both shows Chris was excellent and right on it with every note. The whole band played & sounded very good. Every time I've seen Yes I was not disappointed.

Saw this twice, in August 1978 and then April 1979. Audio-recorded it with a microphone the second time, and kept the tape till i found this video on KZbin. Then i could chuck the audio recording i made back in 1979

Did NO ONE else find it an absolute bs crime that the 3rd and 4th disc of the archive box set was essentially PG re singing the entire concert - this never giving us a RAEL high quality recording of the show with our 24 year old hero? And so THIS video is the Rael true audio we have? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Tinkering, tweaking, re-recording, ugh gimme a break. This Audio, IMO, is the best. The fact no one three cameras filmed a show I believe is directly due to the defeatist attitude cause PG was out. Ego. Ugh. In an alternate reality, they continued on and - oh forget it. I'm just glad he lasted as long as he did. I bet PG is a bear to collaborate with. Either way, this was some of most ruthless and dirty Genesis of all time. It is real. It is RAEL!

Alex was criminally underrated! It's not just about speed, but it's what anyone brings up about a guitar player. Alex was as fast and accurate as any 80's speed demon, yet so much more!

I'd like to know how this was recorded. It was 1974. It's obviously a bootleg but considering the time it clearly demonstrates the greatness of this band. RIP Keith and Greg.

Phenomenal performance here. This is interesting because it’s obviously before they added Eelco Gelling, for the dual guitar attack. GE’s live album from 1977 is sooooo terrifyingly great.

Nothing wrong with a live audience but I hope that a software can be developed to filter it out or at least put it more into the background. For years such things where impossible but since noise can already be removed excellently, as has been done here, it is not a daft concept anymore. I am saying this because the recording as such sounds very decent, notwithstanding the odd tape munching artifact. So thanks for the restoration efforts but I for one would like to be able to concentrate more on the great performances.

I still have this LP, although I have played it till it's worthless, I'm sure. I don't know if I've ever come across a more momentous work! The only thing I can think of that's close might be Quadrophenia or Tommy, both by the Who. While both of those are certainly works of art, as far as I'm concerned the Lamb lies Down beats all comers
