I know this was 2022, but Moon, you can save so much money now. you do not need a mocap anymore. AI is so advanced now, you can dance, walk, and jump straight from your phone and their is software that will rig it and turn it into a fully functioning UE animation for your characters :') x

Thanks, it's very interesting ! Perception Neuron V2 was better than Rokoko, but more tricky to get worked correctly, but it costed 1500 EUR and had less glitches 😭 I still love it. Have you tried the AI motion capture ? Vive mocap !!✌

Thats just shit. After all that money you originally paid, it still was substandard with too many addons and farting about. Even the old motion capture with kinect cameras worked better at doing the basics. But the rokoko suit, You then had to keep forking out more cash like chucking money down a well to get it to do what it should have done in the first place! Any mocap system should do basics, feet on ground, feet off ground and track all movements. Hell, ive seen people write webcam programs for UE5 that capture all finger movements and body movements. For the total price you ended up paying and all the extra equipment, software packages etc, your getting into the pro studio market. Definitely not for amateur mocap users. What a rip off. They should make it clear in their advertising, the system and what it cannot do with out the extra cash and products. Thanks for the heads up buddy, would be a No to Rokoko from me. No wonder ive seen the suits selling on Ebay.

Can you make a tutorial on how to insert a greenscreen actor in the simplest and fastest way. For example EXR Data and that the Actor has a shadow and that the light from the background reflects on his face and on himself? for example, if on one side of the background the lighting is red, should it be reflected on the Actor?

Have to disagree with you. I’ve never seen a single example of live keying that is suitable for a feature film work flows. A live keyed version is always recorded for reference but the majority of the time compositors still work with the original green screen layer and background layer to create the final image.

Eventually I would like to get into Indie Filmmaking so virtual production has been on my mind. It was helpful to get a sense of how much the studios are charging so thank you for that. When I do begin it will be on a micro budget so I will have to look for alternative cheaper methods for awhile. However, I can see reaching a point where going to one of these places would work out better financially. If you find very small studios that charge a lot less that would be an interesting video as well. For the Indie Filmmakers just starting out. Thanks!
