Wow really interesting video and software, i noticed that once it detects a beat it holds the note, is there a way to release and then play when the next note comes by??

EEG into MPE is brilliant. I get the succinct feeling there's gonna be a lot more of this in the near future. I just hope it isn't like 20 grand

Dude, I don’t know if you even look at these comments, but I hope you see this. It has been my first month of actually working with any music software (a few days with FL Studios years ago) and I have learned so much. I feel blessed to have started with Mr Bill’s courses and when he mentioned you in Season 1 I looked you up to understand what your techniques are. I started incorporating your call and response from the video you made for Ableton and discovered this family series. It has made so many things make sense and fall into place and I feel like I’m getting an awesome foundation because of you. Checked you on Spotify too and love your music, Corner of Madras is so good. Thank you for just being and if music brings us to cross paths I owe you a drink good sir.

Are you doing collect all and save on the tracks or having them read from a different folder? Just curious. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

is there a way to stop de note when the audio stops playing the note? now the last note is held indefinitely?
how to do convert other songs say from a hard drive that has been downloaded from beatport or other databases into stems files

I assume the reason why you have this setup rather than just making playlist folders mapped in the 'Places' section is because you've adjusted the tracks with settings that Ableton would need to save in the project for it to be reflected. Otherwise, you can just drag and drop from any of your content folders without loading up other tracks. It will work fine either way because Live is really good but it seems like you could replace all the clutter with just making some folders in your content management and then just drag them in. I can see this view being useful for a short time but if you're playing every few days for a year or two, you end up with hundreds of tracks, which is unwieldy. If you play a couple shows a year, then sure, you're good for a few years.

Hi Tom, I recently purchased your DJ Megaset. I'm new to everything. I clicked the link in the manual for the correct way to warp tracks but it links to this video for Ableton 9 from 10 years ago. Ableton 12 looks quite different now. If you have time to make a new tutorial on how to warp tracks for DJing in Ableton 12 I (and hopefully others) would be very grateful! -W

I'm just stating to dabble in the world and art of DJ. Found this tutorial super useful. I've got Abelton on my computer so going that path rather than the typical CDDJ route. I also want to mix in live instruments.

Hey brother you could take a Wii Remote and use the sensory tilt function and joystick stitched in a glove per say for example and set the parameters to Ableton on an instrument or midi track via to an automation ex. (X,Y,) parameter like an LFO know with tilt or any automation you would want. Basically using the Wii remote as a midi device and using tilt sensor and knob or whatever to as a clip, automation of a plugin on a track or instrument as you play you could move your hand to left or up to trigger or adjust desired impact towards your live show. But seeing how you have the VR gear in hand I guess it’s not really that cool. But just an idea

In all honesty, I personally don't need another Snyth on Ableton Live. This software is getting cornier and cornier. Ableton has changed their business model and focusing on making a buck now. There are 3rd party companies who offers powerful synth. Live should focus on making sure that making music is easier and simpler.
