I stumbled across you this morning. I became interested in unspun yarn a few years back. This is now the third unspun type yarn I’ve learned about in the past few months. I used Plutolopi to make my jumper type sweater. I’ll have to search for the others and make other projects. I loved working with the yarn. I don’t find it too warm, but I’m comfortable. Your cardigan is lovely. I’d love to see the”sunshine” peachy orange one made up.

Okay so the 8 skeins of roving yarn I bought aren’t wasted? I got them to Knit a sweater and then someone said that it was useless 😅

You did a really good job for a first try. I usually prefer whispering to soft spoken but your voice was very calming and the sounds as well as visual triggers were enjoyable. The quilt is going to be a beautiful keepsake. I imagine crafting is therapeutic for you as you come to terms with your mother's diagnosis, I'm sure the quilt will bring comfort to all 4 of you for the times to come as well. It is undeniably filled with love. ❤ Looking forward to more asmr.

Thanks, Charlotte! 🥰 Yes - working on the quilt is definitely helping me process everything...it's really nice to have a project to throw myself into when I'm feeling all of the hard feelings. I'll keep that in mind about the whispering - I usually tend to agree with you but there are some specific people where soft spoken works well for me also but usually I think if there are lots of other sounds happening at the same time. Definitely a fun project to keep playing with ASMR!

So ASMR actually has the opposite effect for me. It's like nails on a chalkboard. But I was literally thinking about you yesterday and how much I miss your face and voice. And surprisingly, this didn't give the same cringe I normally get, so 2x speed to still enjoy some time with you and check out what you're working on.

Oh no! I have heard of that happening for some people and definitely a good thing to keep in mind that it's not for everyone, but I'm so happy to hear that you still got some enjoyment out of it! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment! ❤

Wow loved this so much Becky! First I’m so sorry about your mom’s diagnosis but this is such a beautiful gift for her. The amount of love and detail that you have put into this quilt is amazing! Second the asmr is wonderful. My spicy brain usually can’t handle whispering at all. However there is something about the tone of your whispering and the fact that you don’t do it directly into the microphone that makes it very relaxing to my brain

Also the kitties in my house perked up when yours started to sing. Usually they don’t care about animal sounds in videos

Thanks, Carey. It's such a devastating diagnosis and disease and this project has been really comforting to me as I wade through this deep grief. ❤ I'm so glad you enjoyed the ASMR and such interesting feedback about the whispering. I noticed while editing that I did a mix of "soft spoken" and whispering...it's actually not very good for your voice to whisper so I try to limit it haha. Already excited to try more videos like this - I definitely want to do some just with sounds where I don't talk at all but it could be fun to do both from time to time. Thanks so much for watching and for your detailed feedback! 😊

@@Sopranoknits I have never listened to one of these before but I gave it a try because I wanted to hear from you. I liked it and think it is pretty interesting. I do get that feeling when listening to music and had it happen a couple of times with your video too. I have no critiques as this isn’t my forte’ but I really liked it and seeing your quilting process and progress. Just beautiful!

Good to know, thank you! It's a bit hard to tell because in doing this I learned I can't give ASMR to myself (I guess it's like not being able to tickle ourselves 😂). I had a lot of fun doing it so maybe I'll try it again! It felt nice to share some progress again. 😊 Thanks so much for watching!

Do u still use pencil roving for all ur designs? Has any of ur garments fabric that had high usage have issues from using this product? I saw pencil roving on another site but when I searched for USA made (not picky but shipping $ is a killer) couldn't find it. Have u used any other company for pencil roving in US? Thanks for sharing
@Sopranoknits
@Sopranoknits Жыл бұрын
This is my only published design that suggest pencil roving. I haven't had any issues and I wear mine a lot! I know other people have knit it with US yarns. I suggest searching projects on Ravelry or Instagram for ideas of yarn substitutions - hope that helps!

Hi! How do you store your Nutiden yarn? I'm afraid of moths. Do you keep it in it's paper packaging or take it out and how do you store it? Thanks
@Sopranoknits
@Sopranoknits Жыл бұрын
I take it out and I store it with my other yarn in plastic bins with little cedar wood pieces to provide extra protection against moths. For my knitted pieces, I wash them at the end of the cold season and either store them in plastic bins or in zippered pillowcases, also with cedar.

I loved watching your process, hearing about the discoveries you made along the way, and how you felt about everything. Thank you for sharing! I wanted to say that your "happy mistake" (❤ Bob Ross 🎨🖌️😊🌲) of not double-knotting for the larger holes was a perfect discovery for me. Having seen what a more flexible end-project looks like, I'm inspired to make a throw pillow cover to have that much desired variety in textures that I crave. Thank you, once again, for sharing. And thank you, for being (from my own perception) so authentically you- something I truly appreciate. I believe it's a gift to witness someone expressing their true, authentic self- something that demonstrates vulnerability, humility, courage, and compassion. Such a genuine expression is like an automatic invitation, a demonstration of a safe place for others to also do the same.

Whats that little fabric cutter you've got there called? And they make clips in plastic? ..Whoa.. I gotta start sewing!
@Sopranoknits
@Sopranoknits Жыл бұрын
It's a rotary cutter and it's an amazing tool if you don't already have one!! You just need that and a good cutting mat so you don't damage your cutting surface and it makes cutting out patterns so much easier! Sometimes you need to change the blade when it dulls but those are easy to find at any fabric or craft store!

Did the best I could with a tripod and autofocus 🤷🏼‍♀. It's insanely hard to film tutorials when you're a one-person business and I know video tutorials specific to patterns aren't the norm but gave it my best effort in hopes it would help someone like me who is more of a visual learner. Sorry if it couldn't help you.

Amanita Muscaria is not super deadly. Prepared right, its medicine, and edible. Dry it out and then it will loose its poison. Put in alcohol for some weeks then you have a relaxing and painkilling medicine. Also good for sleep and anxiety.
