Kiitos esittelystä! Osaatko verrata kantomukavuutta noin 15-20 kg lastilla perinteiseen rinkkaan? Kuinka paljon mukavuudessa kärsii jos repun painossa sitten säästää kilon tai pari.
@janikatajisto2 ай бұрын
Moro! Totta puhuen en osaa sanoa tämän ison Porter-repun kantomukavuudesta kevyemmillä lasteilla, itse kun käytän tätä pääasiassa isojen, noin 30 kg lastien rahtaamiseen ja kantomukavuus on lähinnä pari astetta parempi kuin intin "sipulisäkki". Joissain videoissani saattaa näkyä hivenen pienempi HMG Windrider 4400 (special) -reppuni, jota suosittelisin enemmänkin noille alle 20 kg lasteille.

OK, vähän samaan lopputulokseen olen tullut videoita katsellessa
@hyppyrotta71Ай бұрын

I have my second Anfibio 2K here as an exchange for a poorly manufactured first one but both have quality deficits. I’m going to return both. that is so depressing. I was really looking forward to do paddling tour today. I cannot compare Anfibio with other producers, but fairly disappointed in that Brand .

Have you used a skeg?
@janikatajisto4 ай бұрын
Yep, I have. And it does indeed give a bit of an advantage, but the Nomad does actually track better than a traditional packraft even without the skeg.

@@janikatajisto Thanks. Have you happened to have gone over any rapids with rocks with a skeg attached? I've been wondering how tough it was or if it might damage the bottom of the boat.

What type of paddle were you using paddling at sea?
@janikatajisto4 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question;) I usually use a greenland paddle when on the sea or large lakes. But if possible, I do try to take a lightweight "euro paddle" spare with me when on large open waters.

Nice Video! But what is better ? The mrs microraft or the Rebel 2 k ? Ty :)
@janikatajisto4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question! I have recently been using both of them, and thinking of the same question. For me it depends on how I use the packraft; if I want to be fast on land (public transport, quick deploy, small pack size) or if I would have a smaller body size then I prefer the Rebel 2K. But if I want an all-around robust enough raft that is a bit faster and nicer to paddle for my size (180 cm/around 90 kg) then the Microraft is better.

No worries, all the guides had rifles with them as required and were alert. At the campsite we got a guard dog after a bear was spotted hanging around the town (and the campsite attendant got extra ashotgun training too)

Thank you for this video. I've been driving an MRS Nomad S1 since summer 2022 - I've also tried a few other boats - and I'm very happy with it. Many of your experiences have been the same for me too. I just love the kayak-like shape and the similar handling.
@janikatajisto4 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I think I that as I have the privilege of having multiple different boats I might get overly critical sometimes. All of them have their different uses, and I also like the Nomad a lot when paddling on the large lakes / coastal areas and using public transport. It is completely a game changer compared to my Feathercraft foldable kayak.

Nice! We have a cabin in Ähtäri and I have often thought about Pirkan Taival when we see the signs when driving via Tampere to Ähtäri. For now it's only an idea but KZbin algorithm has shown that several people do hike the route even if it's not in pristine condition. Thanks for sharing!

Great video, I’ve watched a few now. Looking at both the mrs nomad and the Angibio rebel 2k. What’s your opinion on both and do you have a favourite? I’m wanting a packrafts that’s comfortable for multi day use, tracks well in the water and good for some white water too
@janikatajisto Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment! For me the Anfibio Rebel 2K and MRS Nomad serve different purposes: The Nomad is more suited for major waterways, large lakes etc. where the higher paddling speed is an advantage and there are not so many portages. Also if I am carrying large amounts / heavy gear for camping the Nomad has higher cargo capacity. The Rebel 2K is my favorite for more adventurous trips where I may have to carry it for longer distances as it is significantly lighter and packs smaller making it more suitable for public transport. Also filling it is faster than the Nomad. Using the fin helps with tracking, although it lacks the paddling speed of the Nomad.

I have a packraft with an raised bow for bikepacking or drybag loading and its paddles a little faster loaded. I recently purchased a drop stitch inflatable kayak for more paddle stroke practice and I noticed your Nomad had a more pointed bow shape like the kayak.

Do you have any idea why the Nomad has had much more extensive damage to the bottom than the Microraft, especially since it's been used much less? Thank you.
@janikatajisto Жыл бұрын
Hi, and thanks for your comment! I have been wondering about the same thing and my suspicion is that it has to do with the weight distribution. On the Nomad I sit in the middle and it might cause the bottom to sag lower in the water than in the "traditional" packrafts like the Microraft or the Rebel 2K. This could be the cause of more damage to the bottom from the rocks. Also if the Nomad loses air it will start to sag even more as it needs more air pressure.
@anonymous-ir3tf Жыл бұрын
@@janikatajisto Thanks for getting back to me. Your explanation does make sense. I guess it would be best to try to avoid having the bottom hit rocks or even the river bottom, but that's not really practical I guess, always having to think about that.
