nice tank unfortunately all my tissue culture montecarlo almost died a week after planting.. i didnt use co2 either.. seller said you need co2.. maybe my substrate was not rich enough..? should have used more root tabs? what are your tank dimesnion and what light you used?

thanks for your comment. Yes you will have much better and faster results with CO2 but you can still grow the carpet without it. NO co2 but there's tons of co2 bubbles coming from the bottom to the top of the tank....? That's not really normal
@ShawnHineidi Жыл бұрын
the bubbles you are seeing are because the plants are pearling!! this means because of photosynthesis, the plants are producing lots of oxygen. It is very normal in healthy aquariums. that is NOT CO2 bubbles. You can look up plants pearling if you want. Thanks for watching.

Nice! Getting ready to order a co2 kit for my 10 gallon. What kind of filter did you have on this? My research tells me to avoid surface agitation while the co2 is on. My current bio wheel hob creates a lot of surface agitation
@ShawnHineidi2 жыл бұрын
I had the aqua clear hob filter. Don’t worry about surface agitation, it’s better to ensure there are enough oxygen for your fish especially when you are injecting CO2. Your plants will have enough co2 during the day and will thrive. Keep in mind, co2 causes lack of oxygen and that kills your fish and invertebrates.

@@rodrigoporras4190 well having one kind of school of fish or a mix is up to you and your taste! They should not have issues with each other as they are peaceful nano fish.
