How to: Heathy planted tank - basic tips for success

In this video I will show the steps "that I follow" to keep a healthy plants and fish. Many could be doing the same, or even better, and some not.
The purpose of this video is to share what works for me hoping it would help you. Enjoy!

I'm using a pothos plant to remove any leftover nutrients went the light off. Which means that when the light offs, I let my lily pipe aerate and I place the plant by the tank (do not submerge😅). It takes in nitrates which is what causes red plants to not turn red 😂. Happy scaping!

Good idea to use Pothos roots to suck up excess nutrients. I use floating plants for the same purpose. However, lack of nitrate will help turning your plants red!! that is one of the methods I use to achieve red colors!! thanks for watching.

You are right. that is very important to maintain stable parameters and keep healthy fish. but try to add filter floss or sponge to keep your water clean! I would highly recommend adding seachem purigen in your filter to polish your water!

Thanks. Those are green neon rasboras. A very peaceful fish. Checkout the previous video I uploaded when I have added them to the tank!

Does anyone have success growing Bolbitis Difformis plant underwater for more than 3 months ? Amazon and Ebay sell a lot of Bolbitis Difformis but don't see many KZbin videos about this plant. Bolbitis Difformis baby leaf fern is not the same plant as Bolbitis Heudelotii African Water Fern.
