Why yes, what an amazing plot to a romance novel, dating a man who tries to kill me.
@secretgirlkfd7380 Жыл бұрын
I mean, he didn’t actually try to kill her. He was 16 and his mom k!lled herself and he did things on impulse. He just wanted to burn the car not the house. But I get that what he did was wrong.

Really good review. I loved this book too. I’ve read Rebecca and definitely liked it as well, but I am more partial to this story. It leaves you with so much to think about.

Out of all the authors I've seen defended with "All the hate is misogyny", Colleen deserves it the least. As a matter of fact, I might just have to argue that this defense is misandry cause it assumes people hate her because she's a woman, that its all men saying this stuff, and that she's somehow a remotely good writer in any capacity 💀
@EmiliaIKnow Жыл бұрын
also like she's being misogynistic !! men are safe from everything in this book!

As a romance author, colleen hoover books would make good thrillers but marketing them as romance is damaging. Especially to younger girls who read them and think this is true love

I know !! romance is supposed to be fun and emotional !! it's supposed to be about LOVE AND CARE AND HONESTY!!!
@starflash8346 Жыл бұрын
@EmiliaIKnow If you want a romance like that with some Fantasy and adventure, maybe give "Where the River Meets the Soul" a try💕 The author is S. Nicole.

The poems in this book will appear as a major contributing factor to my depression and anxiety because just hearing them gave me trauma. My therapist will be hearing about this one in particular: "She 'loved me' in quotations/She kissed me in bold/I TRIED TO KEEP HER in all caps/She left with an ellipsis . . ." Edit: oh god i forgot about booksexting

Interesting. As someone who is dyslexia, this is actually pretty helpful. Being meaning to get into Othello for awhile now, but now that is probably what I'm going to go into next. Probably going to watch the Orson Welles version first because I don't think I can read Old English. I've attempted it when I tried to read The Green Knight and was like, what the!?!? Anyway, thanks so much for this. Far more helpful than my English and reading back in school. I will continue to watch and support.

I'm glad it was helpful! I'd really recommend the Kenneth Branagh one, the performances are really good. Ah well, Shakespeare is a lot more recent than Gawain and the Green Knight, but still definitely hard to understand. I'd say Much Ado About Nothing is his most understandable for me! Thanks as always 🫶🏻
