These farms can produce waste equivalent to that of small towns, and it's simply discharged into the water. Personally, I am against this type of farming, especially when we have viable alternatives like land-based Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) that don't present the same waste disposal issues as net pens. I don't perceive his viewpoint as elitist, but rather as rational and logical.

What astounds me is, why hasn't this been on the news about slade lake constantly? If it has not refilled since it drained last summer, would that not indicate a major change in the sinkhole activity? Seeing how it has always refilled the past, its continuity of being drained over a year later would indicate something has seriously changed in the structures underground in the area. Would this also not increase the risk of a potential catastrophic incident with their 104 highway?
