Hi MrYoucandoityourself, What thickness cork you are using in this project? And any standard when choosing cork mats (like strength etc etc)
@MrYoucandoityourself16 сағат бұрын
Hi, I used 1/4". STC(sound transition class) rating 66-68 Db. Most of the restrictions on sound protection are within this rate. Thanks!

@@MrYoucandoityourself Hi I got further question, for height control I need to use 1/2 inch cork mat. Just being afraid that when heavy loads sit on the mat it will "sink" or generate pit permanently. In your opinion, will that happen if mat has reliable quality?

Impressive content, MrYoucandoityourself. Looking forward to your next upload. I crushed that thumbs up icon on your video. Keep up the fantastic work! Your detailed approach to preparation before leveling is crucial. How do you recommend balancing the time spent on preparation versus the actual leveling process for optimal results?

Hi, 3-5 hours prep and 30-40 min leveling.

How did you end up capping that rounded step that juts out at the bottom?
@MrYoucandoityourself4 күн бұрын
It will be covered with wood cap and then install rail posts. It is not my job to, I just followed instruction how to finish floor.

This is the first time seeing these tripods. I once had to do something like this and I ended up using some 1/16" thick plastic squares stapled to the subfloor. I just left the shims in place as they were just 1"x1" squares and did no harm to the finished floor.
@MrYoucandoityourself8 күн бұрын
Many ways to do the leveling but with tripods the easiest way.

After leveling concreet how soon can you apply adhesive
@MrYoucandoityourself9 күн бұрын
I am using a moisture meter. Each leveling is different. If no more than 1/4” - I can do application on next day, If more, need to check.

It's good but starting in the middle is unnecessary!! Just measure the boards and make a rip if necessary to start!! Also glue down wood goes tongue into groove not groove into tongue! It's done that way to stop excess glue from going in the groove!!!
@MrYoucandoityourself10 күн бұрын
The goal of starting from the middle of the room or hallway - gets straight line all the way. I am the best in the glue down installation!
