I have 3 bunnies I don’t know what breed they are. I got them from a pet store at a Farmer’s Market. They use to not mind being held when they were babies. But now they don’t like being held anymore.

We have a cottontail bunny in our backyard that keeps its nests by our porch and trusts us completely. If me and my kids go out in the yard and make noise and walk around, "mama bunny" as we call her, doesnt even get nervous or run away. When a hawk of cat is around, she runs right up to us if we are outside, literally a foot or two away from us, and i go find what made her run and scare it off. She goes and runs around, chases, and plays with the other cottontails in our neighborhood, but of all 6-8 adult cottontails around us, shes the only one that doesnt freeze up, and then run for their lives when they see us near. She's very nearly domesticated in a sense and we are thinking of building her a shelter in the yard to keep her safe from hawks and stray cats. Shes the only cottontail rabbit ive ever seen that actually runs toward me when she sees me instead of running away like her life depends on it. We love her tho and know eventually something will happen to her, being a wild bunny. The stray cats and unnaturally large population of hawks in our area are absolute menaces to the small wildlife populations in our area, but ive started using my trusty airsoft rifle to train predatory animals to not hunt in my yard, as at this point mama bunny is basically a part of the family, and i want her to be safe.

My dog found a nest yesterday & I managed to get him to drop the baby he dug up. It seemed uninjured so I got it back into its nest with its brothers (2 more I think) but my dog is miserable knowing they’re in his yard and I won’t let him off leash to go find them again. Hoping mama bunny moves them… otherwise I’ll probably have to call animal control to come rehabilitate them and release when old enough. I don’t want them being killed by the dog but I also don’t want to have to move them… I wish I could keep them ❤😅

Thank you. Hi, I found a small rabbit in my yard. It is not a wild one. I feel bad for him, so I am trying to protect him and help him without making him captive. How can I help him be free but with food, shelter and water? I do have a vegetable garden and do not mind d planting additional vegetables for him. I my former home I had a family of rabbits and once they realized I was not dangerous or mean to them, they would eat from the food I planted for them and would come and watch me while I was working in my garden. It was a big family and I knew they had shelter in our park area. This little guy is lining in a 8 inch pipe that will soon be installed for drainage. He will loose his home, how do I set him a home? I thought of installing a run? big enough for him to run and to hold a plastic shelter with roof -wire- like a tunnel. I know we have seen foxes at the entry of the gates community. I don’t want him to be eaten but don’t want him to be one a prisoner. I saw your post and figure you may be able to give me ideas, Thank you in advance. 🙏

My 2yr old dwarf rabbit just got head tilt 2 days ago I thought he injured himself and was going to put him down but now watching this I think it’s not injury but why do vets consider rabbits exotic and charge a lot 😢

I think mine does it to get attention. 1st off I am not going to clean a litter box everyday. I do about every 2. I have no issue with 1 of my bunnies. Once I moved the litter box in a different direction I haven't seen extra small clusters, but the other one. .... The other one will poop in a box but not all the way. Even after being fixed, he also marked his territory on the new rabbit house, so no more plush toys for him. I have reduced size, I have tried everything and he still poops on my floor. If he can't be potty trained, then I will have to re home unfortunately.

My doe will lick me in two very different ways. One is during pettings. Love to see it! The other is when I have to clip her nails or do some other kind of maintenance. She seems to give submissive licks like a dog in this case. She hates it so much! I’m so thankful she’s not a nipper.

Tbh i dont agree with this man for saying they will forever be bonded.... My rabbits came from the same litter and then i bonded them , and they were fine and noe they broke their bond and one is at the vets have a nail trim the other had theirs yesterday

Both of my baby bunnies died in the short span of a week and now i know why. We bought them when they were about 5 weeks old and the vet couldn't tell what the exact reason was but thanks to this video i think it is safe to say that both of them had diarrheal diseases. Thanks for the video
