It was the same routine I paid the fine and when I returned to Colombia they allowed me to enter. I didn't want to deal with there visa process and the rediculious documents they require. Paying the fine is well worth it for me. They actually hope everyone overstays there visa they love collecting that fine it's like free money for them.
