I’ve changed these out quite a few times. Those Moogs are 18mm for both backside & nut. A ratchet wrench works well too. Also retorque at least the top nut with the car on the ground under weight load.

Yea, they've been great! They're just as bright as the day I installed them, and the housing has held up well with the weather and use throughout these past few years. I would still recommend them!

You have to grease Moog sway bar links. They don't have enough grease inside from the factory. BTW What is the mileage of your Renegade?
@srcarter36 ай бұрын
This was something I wasn't 100% on. Because this particular link is both greasable and has a sealed boot. I believe there are more than one compatible Moog branded sway bar links for the renegade as well. It's been good so far, I want to say I changed them at around 115k miles or so? And I'm at 120K ish now?

@Jack-Surreal_Panes Жыл бұрын
Well, that didn't go as planned. LOL. Read forums and even watched videos on 2016 trailhawk. Well, didn't need the elusive E20 on back. Lug caps swelled so had to beat 17mm sockets on and luckily I have many so 3 are still stuck on the lug. Would have been nice to know the caliper slide volts takes 2 wrenches. Today, used a 17mm and 1/2". Boot top has a nut that needs to be held while 1/2 these off bolt. 17mm for the bracket. Darn rotor stuck on so had to PB blaster it then hammer pry it off. Then the brain fart kicked in. after 30min I realized Duhhh! other way. Still in a brain fart couldn't figure why new lug bolts won't fit, lined up wrong holes. Other side took 15 min. Gotta say it stops on a dime. Got that giddy laugh when first broke hard. Back has a semi with a coated, slotted drilled rotor. These type rotors work better when needing braking power while towing and I tow frequently. I always buy cars that the volts are never the same. Everyone saying 16mm, 14mm E20...Today a 1/2 17mm..Maybe the E20 only used on front? I will say the jack points suck. Used a hydraulic and didn't have that adapter so a bit dented..

Thank you. This was very helpful. I just got a new (uhh, used) renegade. The knob is only a little worn, not really a problem yet, but it feels like thin plastic. It just feels cheap to me and it kills the driving experience for me. A good and even cheaper item to replace the rubber insert socket is a magnetic wand, just use a long tool to brush the plug off when you have it settled in the well. Worked for my 2013 Corolla. And be careful removing the ignition plug!!! If you drop any part of that (like a copper spring) it will cause the plug to misfire and your vehicle will shake violently, but not to cause any worry as you can easily reassemble the ignition plug, just be careful not to lose any part of it.
