Thank you so much for this, both the walk though and the MOMO recommendation. I installed mine last week without issues on a 2015, and the new knob is a significant upgrade. Thanks again.

Glad it was helpful! I still love my momo to this day! Way better than the stock one!

Thank you for this video. I've had enough of the OEM knob peeling and cutting my hand. I'll be taking care of this over the weekend!
@srcarter33 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's exactly why I was fed up with it too. You won't be disappointed. I only wish I had done it even sooner.

Same! So many cuts from the paint chipping. Jeep said it would be 300 to replace the nob. This video was super helpful.

Thanks for the info, I see your link. Im going to give it a try. I have a 2015 and my only issue is the knob rubbing off into my hand. Time for a change.

Glad you found the link okay. I highly recommend the new knob! My only regret is not doing it sooner!!

Nice video thanks, very helpful, i was expecting the old one to split in the middle like ther replacement Alfa one i bought. This one didn't just pop of though, the only thing I had that would fit was a 12T hydraulic blind bearing puller, a bit overkill!

Fantastic, thanks!

Neat video! Mine did not come right off, I used a 3-jaw gear puller tool and it popped right off! I bought the Speed Dawg knob and adaptor and its a bit taller that I'd like! #JeepWave

Which part didn't come off? The cap? Or after removing the bolt the actual knob wouldn't come off? Glad you were able to figure something out though and get it to work! Can always switch to the short momo Nero knob in this video if you want something shorter. It is a bit pricey though.

very good video. I wanted to know about a suitable adapter for the knob and what is the size . thanks

I've love the Momo. Should have done it years ago, honestly!

I’m so glad someone has guidance on this. Thank you. Any specification necessary for the replacement?
@srcarter32 жыл бұрын
Can you clarify by what you mean by specification? This is for the manual transmission renegade, I believe they should all be the same from 2015-2018. (Not available in the US after that)

Thanks for this useful video. What is your impression after using it for a while?
@srcarter33 жыл бұрын
Of course! And yeah I've been using it for about two and a half months now and I absolutely love it! It's held up great so far. I wish I would have done it sooner. It feels great in the hand and I feel like it's a tad heavier than the stock one, which also feels really nice when driving.

@@srcarter3 Thank you very much for your answer! I wonder if that's real skin, and how well knob fits?
@srcarter33 жыл бұрын
@@nemanjavojicic174 my guess is it's made out of real leather. It feels authentic, and from the price ($90-ish USD) I'd expect it to be real leather. It fits on the shift stem perfectly, it's not loose or anything. Also, in the video I show using the small locking bolt, but the day afterwards I went back and replaced it with the longer bolt, and added some locktite. I added this info in the video description.
@nemanjavojicic1743 жыл бұрын
@@srcarter3 Yes, i so that, and that Locktite was, actually my concern. Why do you needed locktite?
@srcarter33 жыл бұрын
@@nemanjavojicic174 you don't really need it, but it helps secure the bolt so it doesn't wiggle loose. The jeep vibrates when it runs (even if you're not taking it offroading) and it's just a little more peace of mind, but you definitely don't have to do it. It also isn't like super glue or anything if you haven't use it before, so you can still take the bolt off yourself if you ever want to, it just makes it a little harder than if you didn't use locktite at all.
