I’ve ate at some of the finest places in Chicago with big groups. And it’s never been anywhere near 4,600 for the bill. They must have had bottles and caviar stuff with lobster and filet lol

My friend invited me to a birthday dinner with her other friends. No one showed up but me and her. In my head I said okay well I will pay for her food as a gift. I order my food and then she proceeded to order all types of fancy drinks, appetizers and 2 entrees. I split that bill and paid only for my food. Because girl you got me all the way messed up.

Over the years a group of us have gone out and paid our own way or split the bill, it is brought up as we ordering, waiter/waitress occasionally will also ask 'are you all together'? So you know where you are. A private function is different, already paid up front. At the same time..if the group all agree that each person will pay for the birthday person.. if you are all agreeing to split the bill before hand, that is another scenario. Otherwise, you pay for what you had.

I see people posting everyman for themselves. Yeah it doesn't work like that for a party of that size unless you are able to leave before the party ends. The restaurant would hold the whole party until the bill has been paid in full. They don't care who ordered what. But this is why I believe that restaurants should allow bills to be split in large parties. I know it's more work but if their is adequate staffing it shouldn't be a problem.

At the end of the day Otis is still a good singer no matter if you like it or not. 😂 he’s the 2nd tenor for a reason, he’s main vocal purpose was to help with harmonies. You can hear some of his harmonies in songs like “I’m gonna make you love me”, “runaway child running wild”, and “autumn leaves”. He’s a great singer in his own right! ❤😊
