I love all this - my favorite song by The Beatles - but the orchestra and those divebombing cellos really soar. Amazing.

I've gotta take a little time A little time to think things over I better read between the lines In case I need it when I'm older This mountain, I must climb Feels like a world upon my shoulders Through the clouds, I see love shine Keeps me warm as life grows colder In my life, there's been heartache and pain I don't know if I can face it again Can't stop now, I've traveled so far To change this lonely life I wanna know what love is I want you to show me I wanna feel what love is I know you can show me (hey) Gotta take a little time Little time to look around me I've got nowhere left to hide Looks like love has finally found me In my life, there's been heartache and pain I don't know if I can face it again Can't stop now, I've traveled so far To change this lonely life I wanna know what love is I want you to show me I wanna feel what love is I know you can show me I wanna know what love is (I wanna know) I want you to show me (I wanna feel) I wanna feel what love is (I know, I know, and I know) I know you can show me Let's talk about love I wanna know what love is (Love that you feel inside) I want you to show me (I'm feeling so much love) I wanna feel what love is (And you know, you just can't hide) I know you can show me Oh, I wanna know what love is (Let's talk about love) I know you can show me (I wanna feel) I wanna feel what love is (And you know you just can't hide) I know you can show me I wanna feel what love is (oh, I wanna know) I want you to show me

It’s crazy to say this, but these track separation videos make me realise The Beatles are actually underrated in some respects.

Not pictured: John Lennon off his head on smack at home. Numbing out the many takes of Macca’s granny nonsense. Kidding :) I actually love this tune.

Paul didn’t do much lead guitar, but when he did he totally shredded it! See also: Taxman

Crazily, I think they were still getting better as a ‘four-headed songsmith’ at this point. Just amazing musical intuition throughout the band.

It's a good joyful song. No the lyrics aren't deep or clever but, sometimes, a band/artist just want to do a throwaway good time song.

4:05, 4:18 The bass has a couple of flat notes. 8:09 F#m, Em? John's vocal timing is genius.

"Silly Love Songs" is really a great rewrite of this same vibe Apparently, Sir Paul wanted this song for a single but... no it's too much of a workout far more space in "Silly Love Songs" which was a great single

Are the vocals two separate vocal takes? Or one take doubled? I think its the former. But if so? Gad…to sing and match the timing and pitch ? )There is mo God. But there is McCartney.

George: vocals and Hammond organ John: Fender Stratocaster Paul: Rickenbacker 4001S Ringo: drums John and George didn't play bass on recordings prior to 1968. It's alleged John played the bedrock bass track on Fixing a Hole but the final version is definitely Paul.

@@vincentmorelli1013 The bass from "Good Day sunshine" was played by George (1966), And speculations that say he also played un "She Said, She Said".

Now we know why George rarely played bass guitar. That was awful. I think that Fender VI was cursed. It sounded like crap when John played it on The Long and Winding Road.

The airplane sound effect doesn't sound like it's from a plane capable of flying across the Atlantic from Miami. It sounds more like a turboprop that might've made it across the Atlantic from NYC where it's not such a long distance. The Fender VI sounds good here, but it sounds like crap in The Long and Winding Road.
