Ok this seams realistic. You actually used pre-existing designs to make this seam viable. RASSOR and SEV do seem like they would work to create a temporary habitat. I don’t think it’s an oversight but you would need 2 starships to transport that amount of equipment to the lunar surface, that’s why we don’t see the other one being berried.

Kind of cool, in a movie sort of way. But I see a lot of moving parts and structures that may not actually be necessary. I'd like to see a first principles approach where the creators determine the absolute minimum needed to process ore.

This is a really stupid artists make believe xD They wouldnt tip a rocket and waste that much air on tbe surface of the moon to tip and catch a rocket, the rocket has an elevator, they will just bring out supplies and build shelters xD
@BloxsNCO21 күн бұрын
1. You don’t have to use “air” (I assume you mean oxygen) you can use any gas. 2. You don’t have to release the gas out into the lunar atmosphere. 3. “The is a really stupid artists make believe” yet all of the models we see in the animation are taken from NASAs website. RASSOR (the mining vehicle), SEV (The pressurised vehicle), starship…. All of these projects are being worked on, you just have to look it up! RASSOR or IPRx it’s the best thing we have to extracting lunar regolith currently!

Have you already built a gigafactory with super batteries or are you still buying from China? I've been waiting and waiting for ten years, but no and no. Where are my batteries, by the way, that save me energy? Or will they sell Chinese batteries and inventors for 30k euros, saving 20 cents a day? Where's my hyperloop? Stop drawing pictures, you're boring.

@crankybaboon492023 күн бұрын
Great idea. I mean, the whole thing will probably fall over on landing anyway, and it will be out of fuel 2 or 3 times over, so no huge explosions. How did they get all those lil trucks and that stuff out of the hold btw? She's all engines and fuel tanks till about 3/4 of the way up. Dont suppose parachutes work? Nahh. Damn.

The only reason to build a moon base is to establish and experiment on the capability of mining and refining the helium 3. Thr fuel will never become economically viable unless we're planning to build a refueling station as a frontline base for exploration. I think that's still a hundred years away. Scientifically we still haven't found a suitable materials and fuel to push man kind into space exploration. Zero G and low gravity environment can have many benefits on research, i just hope we can find a more eco-friendly energy source, since the reputation of nuclear energy has been tarnished by the morons

Why use an inflatable fall dampener instead of a winch with wire anchors?
@planecrazyiscrazy23 күн бұрын
for that you wold need to transport a crane or the resosrces to do so
@atlas730921 күн бұрын
@@planecrazyiscrazy You are assuming that that an anchored winch would take up more space. Having an inflatable ballon that size is not small or light.

@@BloxsNCO because you have no ideas, I have my own ideas of how humanity must progress in the future and I do not want to give large sums of people's tax money to NASA, they are wasting money about going where there is no water, human body cannot survive it's an impossible and unnecessary goal. Also I worked at NASA before and so I know what I'm talking about.

@Jeremy969717 күн бұрын
How does that make sense? Space is is literally the most reliable and successful space organization in history... they get payed by nasa to build for them...not to mention all the other companies that pay them to launch payloads into orbit...and now billionaires are paying for trips.
