That view at 0:26 tho, with the dirt flecks on the camera lens and the view of the whole rocket and the engine exhaust as the (very pretty) ground moves away is absolutely breathtaking

Only if the landing on the moon was this easy. The moon dust would blasting everywhere and stick to the landing gear. And the surface is a covered by loose dust and not very flat like the landing site on earth. The landing gear would sink and toppling over the rocket.

@@jonasgabrielsilva2996 yeah, I know. That’s why I said “fingers crossed for 2026” but the problem is that NASA’s funding is absolute pants, and Boeing is in charge of making the SLS core stage tank, and, well, it’s Boeing. NASA has come close to delaying to 2027 a few times, but hasn’t yet.

@@jonasgabrielsilva2996 exactly, that’s one of the reasons Artemis III might be delayed to 2027, it’s cause Boeing is being paid cost+contract, so they have very little incentive to finish the core stage tank, and they’re also (as I said in my last comment) well, they’re Boeing, no explanation needed 💀
