Long violent History is a fantastic social protest song done as gently, as reasonably as possible. Sad he knew a large portion of his audience is racist. Tyler had to resort to “ Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. The Golden Rule of our so- called Christian society, and he still got kickback. Hearing that brave, empathetic, wonderful song, and then to see the hateful comments was quite an experience. Also made it easy to see how a monster like Trump could end up in the White House.

Funny how we speak slightly different. I’ve only heard “ keep your nose TO the grindstone “ all of my life.

He's really very special. He really is. Those first 2 albums have been really powerful to me and will stay with me. The pain and heartbreak and alcoholism.. You do not wish on anyone, but my god.. That era was so fricking deep and moving, relatable. Amazing. Im also from Lawrence county. So, there's another level there too. Cant wait to see him in Boulder in September

😢 I have no reason for writing this but to let you know I've know the pain of loss 💔 for a son I miss him so much no matter what I know. I'll see him again . The perfect words will never be simple enough but hearing from others by music 🎶 Vibration of love to a son ( for a mother ) nearly killed me. Thank you for your words 🙏 🙏 ❤ Never dies to Father's and mothers. Remember worthy love is ❤❤ thank goodness for you.

I can’t believe you didn’t note his outstanding rendition of one of my favorite songs of all time- John Fogerty’s “Joy of My Life”! Love his spin on it, keeping the intimacy and authenticity of the lyric and overall feel of the song (especially since John originally wrote it for/about his wife, Julie), but making it current and vibin’ ❤️🔥

HE STOPPED LOVING HER TODAY is not ONE of the greatest country songs of all time! it is THE GREATEST COUNTRY SONG of all times! Right there with THE GRAND TOUR, THE DOOR and THE BATTLE, and so many more, The Possum did it all and is truly missed by so many fans 11 years later! Thanks so much for bringing this forward!

I can't say George is my all-time favorite, but his heartbreak song, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" is a freaking MASTERPIECE! One of the best songs of ANY genre! (And this comes from someone who loves Rock, Soul, R&B, Blues -- just about any type of music). As a child of the 60s, I grew up listening to Country originals like George, and I must have sung along with "He Stopped Loving Her" a thousand times. And I STILL can't finish it without crying!
