@ Azio Retro Compact Keyboard. I recommend raising your laptop higher to your eyeline so you don’t get neck pain if you aren’t yet thinking about a stand for it. Or, a second monitor! I know you were thinking about rearranging your desk.

I'm outlining this month and going to try to write a whole first draft (word goal: 30k) in December. It's gonna be a comedic high fantasy adventure with a narrator that is kinda 4th-wall-ish, 3rd person omniscient, like Lemony Snicket (series of unfortunate events) or A.A. Milne (winnie-the-pooh) or Tolkien (the Hobbit)

Hiii! Your thumbnail got me and now I’m excited to have watched your vlog and relate to more writers. 🤣 I can relate to feeling like I was NOT making my main male lead feel like an actual guy for my current project (Historical Romance) I thought he sounded more feminine than I meant. I had to go talk it out with my boyfriend and realized I want him like Jamie in Outlander. Also, starting fresh on the page was really nice in my first project but it needed a major overhaul. 🥲 Glad to hear yours isn’t that, just tightening up! Will you be copying whole scenes into the new doc so it’s not a total rewrite?

Hey SJ! This is so helpful to me. I have so many ideas for books, but I’ve never committed to writing because I’m not trained in anyway lol I like seeing your practical process in detail. So many “how to write a book” help is very high level. Really hope we get to see more!

Oh also, I do think you should have a beta reader. My insides feel queasy thinking about giving something I wrote to a friend lol but it does seem like it could be generally helpful as long as you choose the right person. Someone who has read a lot of your genre and will be honest with you but not crush you seem ideal

For beginners ice skaters I recommend cheep beginner skates instead of Jackson’s. Jackson’s and some kind of expensive and is for figure skating. When I first started I just used second hand skates with really helped me through my basic skills. But if u need support I recommend Jackson’s if u want to learn how to figure skate! Just know that it will get worn out after a while so I recommend cheaper skates, good luck!

I went into a professional ice skate shop and purchased Jackson’s based on their recommendations bc I am learning to figure skate. I chose a style that’s on the lower end, which makes it more affordable with the understanding that as I increase in skill level, I will have to invest in a different pair later on!

@@heyyitssj Thank you! I’m self publishing; this came after a lot of research and while I originally wanted to go the traditional route, it ultimately came down to how much creative control I can get if I self publish. Both are great options in their own ways though! Are you doing trad publishing?

omg that is crazy u rated just for the summer 3 stars. just for the summer was my first 5 star book this year and is my fav abby jiminez books & probably my favorite book I've read this year! haven't seen anyone else rate it below 4 stars, it is interesting to hear a different perspective

I think that’s the great thing about books is that everyone’s perspective can be so different. On Goodreads, Just for the Summer has over 34,000 three star reviews, but all for different reasons. It doesn’t make it a bad book, I just liked her other books better!

I’m honestly not sure yet. I live in a high cost of living area where I’m not going to be able to get a single family home for less than $750k if I still want to be within an hour of my work. So just trying to save up as much as possible!
