Hey SJ! This is so helpful to me. I have so many ideas for books, but I’ve never committed to writing because I’m not trained in anyway lol I like seeing your practical process in detail. So many “how to write a book” help is very high level. Really hope we get to see more!

Oh also, I do think you should have a beta reader. My insides feel queasy thinking about giving something I wrote to a friend lol but it does seem like it could be generally helpful as long as you choose the right person. Someone who has read a lot of your genre and will be honest with you but not crush you seem ideal

Hiii! Your thumbnail got me and now I’m excited to have watched your vlog and relate to more writers. 🤣 I can relate to feeling like I was NOT making my main male lead feel like an actual guy for my current project (Historical Romance) I thought he sounded more feminine than I meant. I had to go talk it out with my boyfriend and realized I want him like Jamie in Outlander. Also, starting fresh on the page was really nice in my first project but it needed a major overhaul. 🥲 Glad to hear yours isn’t that, just tightening up! Will you be copying whole scenes into the new doc so it’s not a total rewrite?
