Her point is completely moot. If that was the message, Alyssa would end up with Holden in the end. She ends up with another girl, so how can you say THAT was the message?

Its fascinating to watch cynical and grungy Kevin turn into loveable and sweet Kevin as the years have gone by....I love them both

I kind of miss this version of Kevin. Confident, comfortable, and effortlessly funny. He’s different now but I guess he’s gone through a lot and people do change.
@LDFilmsMotorsport8 ай бұрын
Indeed I miss to this version as well.
@Livvvid4 ай бұрын
He for sure regressed as a person. I also love this version of kevin for similar reasons but also his politics and ego were in check back then. Not only kevin but this college atmosphere was classical liberal in this video. Not the militant woke environment we have today. It's pretty wild how much he has changed. Even how he goes in on Tim burton and other directors but now he says you aren't allowed to do that towards him and everyone who does is just a troll.
@Powerhaus883 ай бұрын
He sold out, went woke.

Agreed. He just seems to have now converted himself into a cheerleader for whatever he's being paid to market.

Wait a second…The protesters of Dogma were against Harvey Weinstein & Disney? Bro, they were right
@NerdyNick9527 күн бұрын
Yeah but they weren’t protesting for good reasons, or targeting the Weinsteins/Disney for anything other than feeling their “faith” was being attacked

Kevin would go on to endorse a documentary by a trans filmmaker that details his complicated relationship with Chasing Amy, so I think he's given it a bit more thought over the years. I think Kev was being a bit snarky here, but he did bring up some good points that he only can speak from his view point.

Kevin Smith gave some pretty awful advice to that kid about credit cards. For anyone who is thinking about maxing out credit cards to fund a movie, try something else
@ZyxthePest11 ай бұрын
This was 2002, it was arguably the BEST advice he could've given. No worse than going to film school. Crowdfunding wasn't even a thought yet and indie producers would've put him in far worse debt and messed with the project. At least he would be able to keep track of the debt on his own terms and would've been able to do the project the way he wanted.
