THANK YOU! I am also a middle-aged female who found the idea of replacing my headlights so overwhelming I started brainstorming ways to never again drive in the dark or the rain. After watching this video, I was able to replace both bulbs with no problem. I shrieked and jumped up and down with happiness. Thank you!!!!!!

Había que probar el voltaje con el viejo alternador y luego hacer la prueba de voltaje con el nuevo alternador. Para ver la diferencia. Saludos 🇩🇴🙏🏻

Great video. I was amazed at how easy it was to remove and replace parts on my KIA brakes. I love the fact that the caliper comes off without the pads so a groove in the rotor won't hold it in place. I had a bit of trouble with the rotors but a good hammer helped break them loose. The only problem I have with your video is that you break the #1 rule when working on a car. NEVER GET UNDER A CAR THAT'S SUPPORTED BY A JACK, especially a hydraulic pump jack. You are putting your life in the hands of a few small pieces or rubber. Yeah, maybe you weren't "under" the car but if it fell you might be replacing knees or at least the suspension parts. Other than that it's an excellent video and made me sure that I didn't miss anything.

Rear speakers installment look fairly easy that I can do myself. Probably have a professional to do the front ones.

To get that bottom bolt easily, I used a boxed end wrench and used another to piggy back on it as an extension. Way easier than trying to get a socket and extension on it.

Whats the correct part number? I see there are a few wires ready for pick up near me just dont wanna get the wrong one. All i need is the small one that goes from negative terminal to the body.

It's too easy to get it off and put it back 🤷🏻 But first, get the cables off, second take off the 2 screws down of the alternator for take out easy the belt and third take off the screw up of the alternator. To put back, the same but upside down, that's it 👍🏻

Ha! Never thought of using an old pad across the cylinder so my c-clamp didnt have to go all the way down into the cylinder. Thanks for the idea!

I did this today. The Advanced Auto didnt have the same parts but they had Diehard 4 gauge 49” cable near the batteries. I bought the 4 gauge post mount to accommodate the wire, same as described here but again, Diehard. I didnt use washers, I cut the ends off the old cables for washers. I did put Never seize on bolts. I did not have to go under the car at all. Took about 10 minutes to create the new cable and 10 to install. I did break the post connector because it was too big for the post and I couldn’t tighten it enough. I ended up going back to the auto store and they had post shims but I had to grind them down a bit to get it all snugged up. Starts great! Thanks for the video. My Element is a 2007 LX automatic

Great video your steps are very easy to follow. One suggestion, on your next video please have the camera man turn down the volume, his heavy breathing made it hard to hear your instructions at times. But your video was awesome.

Why do you need to manually push back the caliper?
@RepentanceAnabaptist
@RepentanceAnabaptist Жыл бұрын
So that the new pads will fit in. The Caliper will be in the position where you last stopped, and you need to make room for the newer thicker brake pads to fit.

In my case I have a no start/ no sound on key turn issue but the dash lights all come on fine. Would the interior lights still work with a bad ground?
@RepentanceAnabaptist
@RepentanceAnabaptist Жыл бұрын
They might. I know that is a poor answer, but each bulb could have it own ground that may allow it to still work with a bad main ground. Sorry, I could not have a better answer. You may want to check your actual ignition switch.
