Are you able to independently operate the factory subwoofer bass levels after installing this deck? I had best buy install my pioneer deck and the guy who did the install said I can't do that anymore. I don't remember why.. If I want to adjust the bass I have to adjust the bass that controls all of the speakers. :(

To be honest I do not know as this is my wife's car and she does not mess with the settings. I think it probably will disable the extra function of adjusting the factory sub separately. If I get a chance to check I will respond here.

I do not know the Kenwood model number, as it came from my son's other car when he upgraded that radio. We did not upgrade the speakers, but if you do just know they have a different wiring attachment than most. I just got a 2005 Honda Element. When I used if for the first time, I put an audiobook CD in the slot & discovered it wouldn't eject. Later, I was driving and noticed the CD had ejected. (Does that have anything to do with stopping & starting the car? IDK if it's an electrical issue or a mechanical issue.) I'm afraid to insert another CD (esp. from a library audiobook) b/c IDK if I can get it out if it gets stuck. Do any of you know a safe way to get a stuck CD out of a slot w/o damaging the player or CD? And is there anything that can be done to stop the CDs from getting stuck in the first place? I'd REALLY like to be able to listen to music & audiobooks again!

It sounds like an issue with the radio itself, so it may have to be replaced.

All you should need is the wire harness that comes with whatever radio you have, and the wire harness we have linked in the video description.

What is the white plug? And. It's different in the 2005 it has every plug filled. And. They have a seven speaker option.... which I have

The white RCA jack is used to hook up the SUB, this should only need to be used on the 7 speaker system.

What was wrong with the original radio? What did you do with it after you replaced it?

The display was acting funny and the factory auxiliary port was not working. I don't really remember what we did with the old radio after removing it.

@@projectelement4980 The LCD display has many wires soldered to the PC board. Do visual for loose or suspect solder connection/s. Also, try to put padding behind the display (vibration can loosen solder connection/s). Regarding the auxiliary port, too much input signal can damage the input circuitry.

How do you input the code when you replace the battery, or the battery goes dead and has to be replaced?

I heard you can Google it and there's a list of codes. U just gotta try all the codes on the list until you find yours. Sometimes there written down in your owners manual also if you still have it. I believe its only 4 or 5 digits long

You forgot to re-hook up your antenna plug, and it looks like it fell back behind the console. Great job.
