It's funny how all the most celebrated "Goth" bands, claim that their music is in no way Goth. You can call it "gothic" for sure, but they feel very divorced from the tribe of fans that would eventually claim to be a subculture. "Goth Bands" have come out of the subculture, I think Nosferatu is my favorite, however most of the most celebrated bands do not. A perfect example is Interpol. They have some of the most "Gothic" music I've ever heard, but no member of it has ever been a "Goth". In fact, I'd say Interpol has beaten the goth bands at their own game. I think the best gothic music was born far outside the subculture.

Not to be a prune but, a species created by demonic higher powers being forced to do basically whatever tasks are assigned to them, or face obliteration. We are in hell… so yea, anyone would expect that, yea humans have deemed slavery bad, but in hell, anything is fair game so long as it plays by the demonic rulers game . Satan doesn’t care for his creations to try to rise to higher positions since he made them with the intent of serving a specific role in service to the greater goal of corrupting the earth. Aside from a few cases of specific individuals, the demon lords haven’t shown much interest in improving the lives of every one of their ring’s inhabitants. Also, since being devils advocate is kinda fun, I don’t think Octavia is dumb enough to not acknowledge that blitz and her dad had a distorted relationship for most of the series. She likely also saw her dad spiral after the mini break up he had with Blitz, to only then ditch everything to try to save him without even talking to her why the imp means so much to him despite how distorted their relationship is. So yeah, Stolis is really poor at communicating with his daughter, and she took it badly. I’m pretty sure anyone on her shoes wouldn’t want to deal with a dad like that, at least for a while until things cool and settle down more. Could the writing be better, yes, but it’s disingenuous to say someone wouldn’t want to be with a parent that can’t control themselves much with their relationships and how it impacts them. Her mom isn’t good, but she’s kinda predictable, so she might prefer that for the time being than a dad who can’t sort himself out

I wonder if Stolas will give Millie advice on what to expect for her pregnancy in s3. And without a doubt he would be happy to babysit her child so that she wouldn't have to stop working when(or if) the baby is born. Which would be great since that would decrease the financial toll the child would bring. This would actually be a great way to help Stolas feel more at home at IMP. As childcare is something he's familiar with.

About Via: She is hurting. Seeing her dad do well with her then go and mess up again makes her feel like a fool for believing he’s “changed” and will make her a priority. This time she refuses to accept the apology so she won’t hurt when he faulters. It’s self preservation. Going back to the abusive parent is the evil you know. She knows they’ll disappoint her. It a strange constant, it’s strained stability. Also do we know if Via knows that Stolas lost his magic and status? You didn’t mention she found Stolas’ medication. She knows that sadness. The way I see the end of Sinmas is that she’s setting him free. She’ll be okay and now he will be. Sorry for the dissertation. Interesting video. 😊

What I find so weird about naming your kids after Game of Thrones characters there are plenty of characters in the cast with normal names that wouldn’t be an obvious reference like Robb, Catelyn, Jon, Ned, Jaime, Margery etc

FINALLY someone says that Stolas has made his romantic interest pretty obvious ever since Ozzie's. I have read way too many times that Stolas never made any indication that he wanted more than sex when... Yes, he has. Many, many times. Also on the Octavia part... While Stolas indeed does make many mistakes with his parenting, some people really exaggerate on how bad of a father he is - and especially claiming that Stella is the better parent is beyond ridiculous. She smiles while her daughter is clearly traumatized.

One thing you left out is that Blitz' 'love language' is Acts of Service. He views relationships in a transactional way. this attitude was instilled in him by his father, Cash, as seen in the Circus Episode. When Stolas removed that transactional element from their relationship, Blitz saw it as a rejection of him as a person.

The amount of people who’ve told me I can cure my type 1 bipolar-bipolar with psychotic features-by eating a balanced diet and exercising often is crazy. Funnily enough, I already eat extremely well and am very active. I’m a healthy weight, lower end of normal, and very muscular. Still hallucinate and go wildly manic once a year. Thanks, Jan. That didn’t help.

So far I agree with everything except the video games bit. Games, just like any other form of entertainment, are a form of escapism, and focusing too much on "representation" can lead to alienating your audience/customers. There are aspects of reality that people don't want a "representation" of. Also, I don't recall any major event of boys calling video games with female leads "woke". As far as I know, male gamers like to play as female characters if the choices are available

Disagree full heartedly. Other kinds of people exist and if company or dev wants to make a game with people that aren't usually represented, they should feel free to do so. Different kinds of people lead to different stories that normally one wouldn't be exposed to. If people don't like it, they don't have to spend the money on the game/movie/tv show/etc. The fact people are calling Intergalactic woke because the lead female character isn't feminine enough is pathetic.

Wonderful video as always...ur analysis of the different generations is spot on...I'm a 42 year old millennial and remember when I started working at some crappy retail job back in 2000...I made $5.25 an hour and remember getting lunch one time and spending $10 and thinking I just wasted two hours of work on some soggy pizza lol. That was my moment of clarity when I realized minimum pay minimum effort lol. And the youngest generation of men scare the hell out of me...obviously not all but the misogyny the homophobia it's so sad...the fact that a huge number 23:58 of them voted for trump..its awful. And the women in video games is such a dumb argument. These developers uae women as main characters because people want women as main characters. I identify way more with a female character than with some roided out hyper masculine dude.

Another thing re trans rights. The bathroom controversy is much bigger than it sounds on the surface. Its an attempt to remove us from the public. If you cant use the bathroom anywhere outside of your own home, you cant be out of your home for long. If you also happen to be disabled with any condition that requires you to use the bathroom more often, you can't leave your house at all.

Yes, but context is always key. Trans kids are put on puberty blockers which are harmless and reversible. Depending on state and doctor, some kids are allowed to get HRT at 16 or 17. However- this requires parental consent. Studies show that 98% of kids on puberty blockers pursue HRT and don't regret it. On the rare condition that someone detransitions, there's nothing shameful or harmful about that. As far as surgery goes, this is EXTREMELY rare and only happens of there's a very good reason for it. More importantly though! There is NO REASON for this, as kids of course are not physically developed enough for it to be necessary. Meanwhile, surgeries like this (as well as HRT) are performed/prescribed on intersex kids at alarming rates. Kids are not as risky, but this is heavily propogandized to turn people against trans folks and their supporters.

The best way to get a Democrat to win is not to convince Republicans to become Democrats. That's way too slow of a method anyway. No, the best way to get a Democratic in office is to convince more Democrats to vote in the next election since we know that Democrats are less likely to vote in elections. The best way to get what you want is to simply bolster your own side and not try to convince the other side of anything.

im an accepting person; live and let live.. i think most people are the same way.. i also think that most people don't have any issues w trans and gay people-- they just hate having it forced down their throat.. and yes, i have voted democrat every time until this election. the border is a joke. the national debt is a crime. the dems ran a terrible candidate w zero policy.. and ALSO their pandering to identity politics. biological male may not be psychological male, but i absolutely refuse to play imagination time and pander to 'pronouns'. i will be respectful and call you by your name-- if it offends you to be called a 'he', i won't.. i'll use your name every time i talk about you; but i'm not pandering.

also>> identity politics>> if you tell one group of people to be ashamed, and they are priviliged-- and you tell another group to be strong and proud of their heritage-- how can you expect anyone of the first group to vote for you?? i'm white.. i grew up poor. my ancestors came over to america in 1900 from a country w no slaves, and i'm told to be ashamed. the hell w that. identity politics ARE DIVISIVE. obama ran on unity-- on YES WE CAN.. kamala ran on nothing.

If you refuse to use the proper pronouns and get this upset about the current status of transness, you are not "live and let live" at all. None of us are going to get mad at you for using the wrong pronouns from time to time, but if you're told what pronouns someone uses and you still refuse to acknowledge that, you care more about your own comfort than other's and I think that's a huge part of the issues Mads talks about. It's not just about fear of the unknown, but also our special American brand of individualism manifesting as self-absorption. Recognize that it's NOT about you and your personal comfort regarding "identity politics" and whatever. Right now is a crucial time for trans folks' visibility and human rights. Just as it was cis gay and lesbians, just as it was Japanese folks, just as it was black folks. And again and again it will be someone else's time. If that's annoying or bothersome to you, well, that's a YOU problem and your responsibility to work on it.

WARNING: I accidentally left two very loud points during editing. These are at 1:30:41and 1:36:03. Also, Trigger Warning for Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Self Harm, basically anything Maga hates is in here. No idea why every time video footage of me in the blue sweater is really pixelated. I hope it does not deter people from listening to the important message. I won't be checking comments on this video, because I know some of them will end up dreadful, but I didn't want to turn them off and silence some of the voices that deserve to be heard. BTW, the article I go over at the start of the video is from 2018. Many of the potentials they assumed may happen did, in fact, become law during Trump's first term.

Long time SOM fan and I still have my vinyl that I bought in the 80s. Good video but I can't believe you avoiding mentioning First and Last and Always and Wayne and Craig. Many hardcore SOM fans hate the Mission, I guess, but the SOM in 1985 was the best version of the band when it was actually a band. With all due respect, Pat's talents and contributions were limited and you admitted that she was basically backing vocals and eye candy, an opinion shared by Andrew. She had musical talent to be sure but nowhere close to Wayne Hussey who played 6 and 12 string guitars and wrote quite a bit of the music. Going to see the new version of SOM Oct. 5th and looking forward to it

This is a small room? 😂 I've only managed to organise my big cupboard but everything's in big cases which stack on top of each other & I wrote what's in them on the side with permanent marker. So, it's not to bad to go through now. Just need to sort out the lounge & bedroom, oh God they are in a state. Both my sister & someone from the HA said they could get me a professional to help me tidy up 😂 But it costs money. So, I've been psyching myself up😮. Tell you what, it'll be interesting to see you do regular updates in real time. Nobody does videos like that, it's all a montage from tip to townhouse normally. You know what, when you have less to spend you have to be more imaginative & creative & it can take a whole lifetime to find all the things you love. Those interiors are always more striking. 😊

So good! Just heard of them for the first time a couple of hours ago, loved some of their stuff but immediately felt there was something off, most surprisingly 573k followers and almost no comments. So I dove right in and whilst diving found some things you found too. Watched your whole video and wholeheartedly agree, with two small additions. First of all, even when all was well, 573k followers on Instagram compared to the number of sales, likes and comments is disproportional, so a part of those followers are definitely bought. Not an uncommon practice at all, still meh. Second, and this is as funny as it is sad and hypocritical, I found a paragraph they wrote in 2013 which links to all their social media then (almost all deserted now), and here's what that paragraph says about Instagram: "Find us also at Instagram where you will probably find out we are obsessed with good food. But since Instagram tried to steal everyone's photos in the last Terms of Service update, we are thinking of going to flickr."... oh dear.

I will now stop because I never knew they were this ablest like this. Saw Sisters of Mercy about 17 years ago in Philly. Worst show ever. Two guitarists, programmed drums, keyboard samples,no bass at all,and Andrew barely involved and totally disinterested in singing. Of course Patricia was long gone by then so no female vocals at all.The most recognizable song they played in their just a pinch over an hour set was Mother Russia. All of this positively smothered wall to wall with rolling wave after wave of smoke. Actually the smoke machines were the only things on stage that were working hard.Love their records but Ive seen drunk bar bands do better gigs. Really disappointing. Unlike this video on them which I thoroughly enjoyed. Cheers.
