The "Goth is White" hoodie made me gag. I'm not so much in the scene now, but back in the day that kind of thing would have gotten your ass kicked. One thing that aligned the goths and the punks was fighting against racism in our respective communities. There's no reason for that crap to have ended up on the website because it just doesn't align with the views of the communities Dolls Kill was marketing to. So gross, so glad they were never a thing when I was more active within the goth community.

When I first read this comment I thought you were talking about white as in white clothing but then continued to read and was like "There's no way they'd be blatantly racist and gatekeep something like being goth to one race... right??". Got to that point in the video and the "Goth is white" hoodie was in both black and white options and couldn't fucking believe they'd be so openly racist. I know they had controversies with the BLM stuff but still, that's some dumb shit I'd expect from an edgy teen in 2005

I don't usually get offended by clothes, but that cut above the rest hoodie is disgusting. As someone who has struggled w/ self harm for over a decade now, I literally want to throw up seeing it used for "fashion"

Dolls Kill is always on sale for 20%-40% off everything. That’s why they are considered affordable. I don’t align myself with the brand, just explaining reasoning.

How can one lady that wanted to create a clothing alternative brand be so hateful and ignorant about issues that go hand in hand with alternative culture and fashion… Shoddy Lynn and her company are sick. Most frustrating part is that people will not even acknowledge these things and let it flow past their minds because “clothes look good!!!”. Nobody is being held accountable in the fullest nowadays and it’s always for the stupidest and selfish reasons. Thank you for this video, I never knew about Shoddy Lynn’s BLM police post and that makes me infuriated.

I have shopped with Dolls Kill for years, and then I stopped after they had an art theft controversy. However, I totally forgot about it and started shopping with them again hard-core. I will now stop because I never knew they were this ablest like this. That whole thing with the girl in the wheelchair is fucking disgusting, and I can’t in good faith support a company who would do such a thing. I’m glad this channel exists to let me know of other alternative clothing brands I can buy from.

Great video. Appreciate you pointing all that out. What I don't get is that a lot of their potential customers are probably wheelchair users - They are so arrogant they don't want their custom? Geez, you'd like to think a big company like that would be a lot more progressive by now. I won't be going there again.

I find that you really can't change a lot of people's minds when it comes to this stuff. Just continue to shed light on it and try not to contribute to the problem. Explain things to people willing to lend an ear and focus on them.
