How can someone not have a 4k tv lol Do they even sell 1080p tvs anymore???

This argument doesn't really make sense because resolution is not the same as graphics. She's talking about the age old debate of graphics vs art style. Nintendo's games are beautiful but it sucks that they often appear a bit blurry. I'm not asking for full 4k but maybe something like 1440p on tv and 1080p switch 2 screen.

Only one of the tvs in my house is 4K so while it would be nice it’s not a game changer for me.

That's kinda to not own a 4K TV since nowadays you can get like 55" 4k tvs for like $200

I swear the States are behind the times when it comes to UHD/4K screens. I think they were years behind HD as well when it comes to a consumer base compared to the rests of the western world.

Yeah would rather have smooth frame rate, which most Nintendo games don't even have these days. I understand for bigger games like BOTW and TOTK, but when the simpler ones struggle at 30.

All that matters is pokemon gen 10 is going to be on it. And thats enough for me

I unfollowed IGN on everything. They gave Dragon Age The Veilguard a 9/10 saying it’s one of the best RPG’s ever made. The game is a complete letdown in story and dialogue. The combat is the same enemies over and over reskinned. Plus it has little to no roleplay because you don’t get any diversity in dialogue/game choices. There’s a reason why Baldurs Gate 3 already had double the concurrent player base even tho it’s a year old and DAV just came out.

I absolutely want 4k for the new switch... the AI upscaling tech exists, it'd be crazy not to use it for a better gaming experience. To avoid pricing issues, Nintendo already found the solution of a Lite cheap version, normal, and premium. I want to pay more and get 4k.

I just want my games to run at 60 FPS. I'm tired of paying premium prices for an inconsistent experience.

i want it to at least be able to upscale to 4k with a nice enough upscaling algorithm, doesnt even have to be anything fancy, just better than what 4k tvs have

In all honesty, 4K isnt a selling point for me. I game on a 1080p monitor and probably would only max out at 1440p if i could. Theres consoles (Analogue 3D and the Series X as examples) that i want, but not because of the 4K

100%. Imperative that they play better, but most 1st party Nintendo games don't need to look any better than they already do

Nintendo isn't suing over creatures that share similar appearances. They are pursuing legal action for in-game mechanics that they patented after Palworld had already implemented them. Large studios like Nintendo are stifling the gaming industry with ridiculous patents on game mechanics. Smaller gaming companies will never have the chance to create unique games without circumventing these mechanics. If every company starts to enforce such patents, we may soon see a decline in the quality and quantity of new games.

Dude, the battle system is great! It’s just the levels are boring AF. The characters are bland outside of Mario N Luigi. All the stages are lackluster and samey. Bowers inside story was 10/10

Wood, I don’t have to “try” to enjoy watching. I CHOOSE to take the time out of my day and watch the show every week. I’ve been a Patreon since nearly the beginning of the show. For me it's tough.i am fine with art styles gameplay matters to me so Nintendo regardless of art style I'm always gameplay on board. I am very critical of Indies being too repetitive/not prototyping enough. Sony/Xbox 1st party are eh. Xbox has the variety but not the impact. Nintendo has their eh Mario Sports or others with content that sucks but still better I find even as a new Nintendo fan and started PS/Xbox and brief Wii/DS but more Nintendo now then ever. Astro Bot is too nostalgic inspired like Sony wanted for years so pass on that. But yes mostly cinematic even if a different genres still third person. PS4 I only cared for Gravity Rush, Knack, Drive Club, Killzone, Infamous, very few on there. Xbox I had Sunset Overdrive, ReCore, Rare Replay, I tolerated Forza Motorsport 5-7 they are better then Series consoles gnry aka 8 it's so bad. GT7 I hate but at least it has modes/variety besides it's eh progression systems. The GT5/FM6 problems in GT7 are hilarious. To me platformers, racing and shooter suck. I have found a few that are great but most are fewer modes, safe, eh progression and boring level design , setting or ideas, or Indies nostalgia garbage and not prototyping enough and are too heavily inspired like Akimbot or Sonic clones, Crash clones, I'm just so k of them. The DK cline at Opening Night Live just disappointed me. Like that's the best they can do. Why? Their ideas are weak and safe Are audiences that comfortable/nostalgia/emotional simple? Maybe. Each person is different but ai can even say Wii U successor ideas or Sega Rally successors need more because people are emotionally/nostalgically stupid. So we end upw tih safe games because audiences suck. Because it's not about mechanics it's about themes, dialogue, character designs and more to me. Atmosphere. Those are important but if I play the same game why would I want to play that with a reskin? No wonder cosmetics work people get sucked in all the time. I never cared for cosmetics or looks or social status garbage. Functionality I prefer. I find probably 1% or under in the 0.0000 whatever to put a 1 or some other numbers or so that actually impress me and the rest are safe repetitive, look at our culture (which is fine but the gameplay is so boring that I can't be impressed by their culture inclusion in their game, I'd it's too boring to play or level design why would I play regardless of the cool culture and setting they have presented), need more prototyping time Indies or AAA/AA. It varies what ideas they offer, what mods, level design, character movesets especially matter to me. I'm very picky while experimental old gens or controller gimmicks get me by in modern gen because game desitis so simple for casuals or focused on story/graphics and the gameplay is the most generic character movesets out there or boring locations and nothing exciting or too combat focused with boring skill trees. Buying up 5-7th gen even past trends you see the competition of mechanics, even those Cover based still had great variety of mechanics for shooters. I'm having a blast with old modern shooters. Old racing games, old platformers. I branches out to tactics/hack n slashes/odd strategy/tycoons I used to play. Without branching out I wouldn't have picked out any of Square's 2022 games to fill out my year their AA like published games. I look around and even recently Inertial Drift made me impressed in the arcade racing space but in others I go sigh more repetitive games. Switch to me is ok for gimmicks not that exciting but at the same time it's a more exciting platform then the competition for 1st party even if Engage is ok but not terrible, Pikmin 4 annoyed me a lot so to me it's the most frustrating in the series when I have a lot of problems with it. Nintendo games aren't perfect they have their casual audience creeping or odd ideas I find I would have liked to not like due to their execution. Indies vary depending how creative the arem Not all have to be the Witness but in some cases I wish some looked around at not popular games when it comes to platformers when the left behind AA had more impressive ideas to me. Same with racing.

I get what you’re saying, but you can absolutely love an RPG’s battle system and strongly dislike the rest of the game and vice versa. For example, while I really like the battle system of something like Fire Emblem Engage, I don’t like anything else about it. Therefore I wouldn’t rate it very high at all. An example of the opposite is something like BOTW/ TOTK. They knock everything out of the park except for nearly everything relating to combat lol. I still think they’re overall incredible even though I think the combat can be thrown in the garbage. Imo to have a truly great RPG you gotta have a good balance of everything across the board, or your strengths are good enough to the point where it covers for a weakness. If Brothership has great combat, but the reviewer didn’t like anything else about it, then a 5 is absolutely warranted.
