What was the thickness of those test plates?......i have a 1 inch plate test coming up....flux core 0.54 wire with ceramic tape....i have to do a 2G...3G... and a 4G..... I've worked in shipyards before but mostly welded 3/4 plate...so this is going to be fun 😎🔥💯💪🧑‍🏭🇺🇲

Here in Brazil you must use both hands to perform the welding test for 6G. I do believe that here is one of the most difficult countries to do the welding test for 6G and also we have the best welders in the world

Why even bother with the goose neck hitch, it's pointless where it's at? Why not used a pintle hitch trailer, they are cheaper and would work just as well in that application? Thanks.

In horizontal, you can usually turn the heat up a bit depending on the thickness of the plate/material, the angle of the work, and the size of the gap. Particularly, the root. Open root welding needs special attention.

Is it better to use a foot pedal or scratch start I'm having a really hard time doing Pipe and I have to get ready for a test with this company I'm in its going to be a 6g test sh80 any advice from anyone thank you all

Scratch start. And practice right hand left hand for putting root in. It will help you tremendously in the future
