I would love to see a part 2 to this! I'd like to see an animation implimintation? Maybe? Or if the follower if friendly, like a small friendly animation when they meet. I really enjoyed your tutorial, you have a great way of explaining things that make sense and WHY we should do it a certain way. Thank you for that! Need more of this in my lifeeeee!

I'll most likely add an option in the Gameplay Settings to disable the VHS filter (although it wouldn't make sense story wise) to accommodate people with motion sickness or etc

@@kavinsai1734 the 1st part is purely psychological horror with survival horror elements but sadly no shooting, but I want to explore a lot of genres in this series, one being FPS Tactical shooter similar to SCP:5K And for the console part I’m not sure, as I’m not sure how to do that exactly to be honest, and also idk how I could publish to consoles like the switch, xbox, and ps4-5

You should try to actually recreate the behaviour of 4666 (stalking from the woods for about 2 ingame nights, then staring from the window at night for 1 or 2 ingame nights, then start having it climb into the attic, or roof (generating a smell that the player notices, continuing this behaviour for about 3 nights.) then have it break inside and have this current type of behaviour(chase the player around until it either catches the player, bringing it to it's lair and basically making the player a slave (bad ending) or the police/MTF get there on time, eliminating 4666 and the game ends in the good ending.), (It needs stages to it's behaviour), and not have it just roam around, the graphics are good, the models are good, but the behaviour is absolutely garbage.

@@Willetin as said in the video, I’ve already thought of that and I can 10000% promise that the AI during the actual gameplay will act like 4666 (at least the best I am able to make it)

There are very well made SCP games out there, as you mentioned, SCP:5K which is based around the lore of well SCP 5000. Are you going to try rivaling them?

Not sure if rival is the correct word here, as SCP: V/H/S and SCP:5K are different genres. Yes, both are SCP games, but SCP:5K is a multiplayer tactical FPS shooter, whilst SCP: V/H/S is a single-player psychological horror game (with elements of survival horror), so you can't really compare them tbh. Plus I work solo and the SCP: 5K team is quite big (not sure how big but its impressive with their equipment and etc). I respect those games too much to try and rival them, if that makes sense. Other SCP games like SCP:5K, SCP: Unity, SCP: CB, and SCP: SL have definitely inspired me and the work I want to do, but I am not actively trying to make a a game that's "better" then those games, but hopefully a game that people will talk about as a good SCP game alongside those other titles.

So far development has been really quick and smooth, so hopefully that continues. Plus if this game makes good money, I can hire people to help speed things up A LOT, but yes I will agree it is a challenge for sure

@@LenexTL first thing that comes to mind is SCP-4975 "Times up" although it might be a bit similar to the scp you are currently working on but I think this could be a horrifying scp if you give it the chance to shine (Especially with the ticking sound it makes which i think could be implemented into the gameplay loop for a more unique experience) I would recomend you to watch a video about it if you haven't already

Another person who missing concept of SCP's entirely. But what to expect from someone who played only 5K and SCP SL. I bet you are one of those ppl who disovered SCP Foundation post-2018. Maybe making SCP related game isn't your best bet, if you can't take it seriosly for minute.

I'm a little worried about this game since you never really mentioned the most important feature of 4666, that being a family, as the biggest part of 4666 is the fact that if your lucky it'll just leave a toy made of flesh, and if your unlucky it'll break into your house and torture each family to death in front of the others before kidnapping the child. Honestly my best suggestion is read the article 10x over and come with a conclusion to if you think your game will represent well, after all that's what SCP games should do at least. either way I'm optimistic that this game will do well in development.

You should make it so that 4666 stalks you and like in the lore there’s a day system where he goes from stalking you to attacking, just a suggestion though. keep working and I can’t wait for it to release!

I to take creative liberties with some aspects, but without spoiling anything, the game stays relatively lore accurate for all SCPs in the series
