Seriously, tho this video is basically "How to edit videos with python code alone. 0 video editor required!" NOT "Create your Own Movie Editor for Free", but I guess it'd be too easy if fully assembled code were out there for a full fledged video editor in python of all languages as it has the least barriers to entry to code in, with a few unintentional ones like needing to select "custom instalment of python" when installing python in order to ensure you can find pip and install it into the version of python you're installing... cause that's how you "pip install" a ton of python packages necessary to do... particular things.

You have a couple of confusing and unnecessary lines in your example: 1) you do not need to import ObjectProperty and 2) you do not need the class variable audio as self.audio is not the same as AudioInterface.audio. The audio variable you are using is defined in the kv string and created by builder.

Thanks for the information and file in google collab. I'm running into an issue with CD'ing into the package. The only way that I've managed to not flag as folder does not exist is to use the full path (!cd /content/drive/MyDrive/compile_test1/) However, no matter what I do, running the buildozer init only runs in the root -- it doesn't follow the change directories down into the project file. It builds the spec file on the /content/ level. What am I missing?

I think Dart is an underrated language that should be more popular, it is a compiled language (and also interpreted) which means it has a better performance, it transpiles to JavaScript as TypeScript does, for desktop environments it has all kinds of libraries with a similar syntax to Java and JavaScript in my opinion, and also with Flutter we can program cross-platform mobile apps with good performance.

I need to manipulate the audio files in my app. In Python you usually require the pydub module, which is based on ffmpeg encodings. However, the ffmpeg binaries have a size of 20 MB, which would significantly increase the size of my app on Android. Do you have any good solution for that? Is there a way to add only part of the ffmpeg binaries? Or are there Python libraries that don't require ffmpeg to manipulate audio files such as joining them? Or is there a way to compress the binaries and decompress them when I need them? Hmm...
