I love how ridiculously overpriced camera equipment is

I don’t know why but on 25fps I find the ‘juddering’ quite jarring on this camera on pans (much more so than my ZVE1) so I’ve taken to filming everything in 50/60 which looks decent.

Ned Flanders with a nose ring just creates boring content.

My wife really got angry when I bought a 1.200 euro lens, and only a few weeks later found out that..... I already owned that same lens. In my defense, it was after a period of about five years that I didn't do much photography.

to be fair, all the camera and drone equipment is neccisary and has a function. but that apple laptop, no, sorry that glorified over priced paper weight. no, he bought it to match the wallpaper. theres no reason you need a mac, get any other windows branded laptop at half the price and still have all the power needed for photography and davinci editing.

Why was Vignettes not mentioned. I noticed one lens you used, was 14mm. I’m torn, thinking I will need a 82mm set of filters, and step up rings from 67mm & 77mm to cover my main lenses.

I've never had to worry about this, it is sad to see all the guys scared to deal with their wives. I take my income and pay half of the household bills, my Wife does the same. What I spend my left over money on is up to me same with her. As long as the bills are paid there is no need to have concern what a person spends their hard earned money on.. I have my hobbies she has hers..

Besides photography, I’m into guitars, bass guitars, studio equipment and-last but not least-telescopes & astrophotography as well. I hope to one day find a way to launch my own currency.

Imagine her reaction if you do serious astrophoto.... +20,000$ gear and almost no revenu expectation. And you can only use it at 100% when the sky is nearly perfect. You typically have to drive few hours to get away from light pollution!

I get it, it must be frustrating to miss a shot (although I think the shot you did get was wonderful) but I think it's worth remembering that even though you are a photographer you are also a storyteller and a videographer. The drone shots and establishing b-roll that you get are great and oh so necessary to the narrative you are trying to tell. But I'm sur you know all this! 😊 As far as giving up is concerned I'm glad you didn't either ... some of those shots you got had me all nostalgic for a trip I took to the west coast of Scotland. Darrell Scott wrote "Well, today was once tomorrow And today's tomorrows' yesterday" in a song called "There's no use living for today" which sounds like the opposite of what you were saying but I don't think it is! 😁
