I am glad you were able to catch autumn in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Thank you for video of your journey there. Great images of Meat Cove.

Cape Breton is so amazing, was there to visit Gavin in July, special place for sure. Glad the tire wasn’t too big of an issue, Meat Cove is pretty amazing. That eagle, nice…! 📸😎

Also a good idea is to have some sealant to fix those little leaks.

I like the warmer image better. I get what you say about the 'busy' photo. It happens. There are more than a few times where I really like the location and take what I think will be an epic composition only to find out it's too busy when I finally have a chance to review it later.

Glad you made it out to Meat Cove! Such an amazing area! I once cycled out there from Sydney loaded with camping gear. That was 25 years ago and my knees still hurt!
@AlexArmitage Жыл бұрын
That's quite the trek on a bike! Could you still drive through at that time? The road ended when I was there
@homeinguelph Жыл бұрын
@AlexArmitage it ended at the cove. Loving your videos BTW!

Stunning location... I remember seeing that location in one of Gavin's video.

Get yourself a good tire repair kit too. You could have plugged it and drove on until you got it patched. If your ever interested in it you can mount certain compressors under the passenger seat with the correct adapter.
@AlexArmitage Жыл бұрын
I actually think theres a compressor that fits in my engine bay. But, at this point what I have is fine.
@georgehamzik8275 Жыл бұрын
@AlexArmitage I have a 2018 4runner and will be putting in a second battery under the hood. I've had the compressor for a few years now, and I got tired digging it out every time I needed to air up my tires. Another disadvantage to mounting under the hood is dust getting into the compressor. Check out Desertdoesit for the under seat mounting option.

I do believe things happen for a reason . . . . . lessons learned are priceless aren't they?! Love your positive attitude! It all added up to an entertaining video and the warm eagle warmed my day - absolutely perfect on so many levels.

Good lesson there. I find myself compromising and rushing things when I stumble on a scene like you did. Gotta slow down and work the scene rather than run'n'gun.

As for reliability, that vehicle of yours is perfect. ... and versatility But you know this, 😆 it's why you have it. I'm surprised more photographers don't have it

You should have told them to put a patch on the slow leak inside the tire.

When I saw the thumbnail, it looks familiar...I've got a leak in my rear passenger tire. Right now I'm just pumping air into it(I did get one of those pumps that are powered by the cig lighter) and limiting my driving until I can afford to get it replaced.

Sorry to hear that Bill :(

Alex, buddy... can we talk a minute? You know we're all here for ya... but you had a *slow leak* and we get a video titled "Disaster"? Yeah, we know you've got to pander to KZbin's Great Algorithm, but if that nail in your tire really bummed you out, how are you going to tackle driving to South America? ...Seriously worried for your safety out there when the 4Runner gets worn.

I would like to know why you dont go back to these places when you missed a great shot? You say you live in the car and drive around. So you would have enough time to go back.
@AlexArmitage Жыл бұрын
Sometimes I do! But in this case I had somewhere to be that was almost 1k miles away in the next couple days. Also sometimes I don't realize a spot is worth spending more time in until I review the images later.
