AI will always be Retro, but Mankind's library is large and growing, so its bound to extract images, sounds, etc. that are unique to most everyone. Music generating software has been around for a long time, Moor's Law said it was inevitable technology would reach the point of doing it in real time. 'Tron' took near an hour per frame, now it can be rendered while you watch on an I Phone. But to put things in perspective on where we are, our most powerful computers, executing quadrillions of instructions per second, can't model a single molecule of water, something God does for every molecule in the Universe in a nanosecond or less. And the images and music are interesting, but as to depth and content, I'm not sure what its trying to say.

A touch of early Kraftwerk, lots of Tangerine Dream there, also some of Göttsching's Ashra. Great stuff. The AI imagery is also very nostalgic and fitting.

@@tristen_grantlet's not be negative. I love the images, it's a bit like science fiction plus nostalgia. It's great. The music is a real contribution to EM. Great listening too. However he made it it's appealing to ears and eyes plus he too the time to create all of it and post it. Why therefore disrespect the effort? Your Bank also uses AI and yet you pay with smartphones, don't you?

@platzhirsch4275 I don't have a cell phone. My bank uses AI but by bank isn't a creative project, it's a service. Music and art are creative, a human expression of thought, emotion and feeling. AI has none of that and writing a prompt also has none of that. Yes AI can be a tool but it's not creative. I prefer things made by humans. We have enough low effort AI trash in the world.

How can we not appreciate a shiny new world that erases us humans? And the Berlin School doesn't need any more musicians, we're going through a tremendous decadence, even the music is excellent. Just a little more effort and octopuses will be able to replace humanity, reduced to watching the disappearance of its creativity phagocytosed by generative machines. Yes, well, that's pretty much what so many SF books have been saying for decades, nothing new under the stars, but you never know, let's have faith in extraterrestrials, for the moment they're keeping a low profile even though they undoubtedly have something to surprise us. The only progress to be made with the virtual images of synthesizers on the rampage concerns the keyboards, which have a hard time reproducing the classic alternation between black and white keys. But then again, keyboards are just superfluous artifacts, so anything goes. I listen again to Vivaldi, Piccioni or Jobim, and this innocence is like a soothing balm against the prevailing delirium. Our musical apprenticeships have shaped us for these harmonies, we are the sentinels of styles that are gradually disappearing, so we might as well make the most of them. Perhaps it's the destiny of all things, but who cares? As long as the pleasure is still there this ancient music will overshadow the hybridizations of so-called artificial intelligences that compile endlessly.

REALITY, is an information process, set in motion and sustained by God for a purpose. Understanding the purpose is more important than knowing anything about anything. Music is information, music is the language of the soul, the Heavenly hosts singing is what solves the equations that govern the Universe. Music has no limits to the feelings it can convey, and the most important is Love for others and the Creator of all. A synthesizer is simpler than a flute, yet it can duplicate the sound of anything that can be heard. Electronic music is no more threatening than fire, a property designed into atoms for the purpose of keeping us warm. Things in reality are tools that can be used for good or evil. They are provided so we can be 'fruitful and multiply'. Just because some want to turn them into prison bars, is a reflection of man's fallen nature, not the possibility if good they were given to us for.

Incredible, it almost sounds like a human made it! You had me fooled there for a sec. Though, in 'Retrotides' I do hear a bit of spectral data being lost in the main percussive bass sound, which is pretty typical of AI-generated music. The melodies are also kind of all over the place.
